India was simply better. They have been chasing around 300 runs consistently. Their middle order is simply outstanding.

Mashrafe Mortaza needs to mind what he says says. Unnecessary statement "Beating India is no longer an upset"

You gotta play well to be appreciated. Anytime BD wins they are appreciated but that's once in a while occurrence. Or maybe you are pissed of at the pakis just because.

Well, to me kohli is the big difference here. If he would got out ealier india would have struggled to chase this total, despite their good middle order. That is my speculation. Kohli just won the game for india.

Anyway, toss is big issue here. The one who will bat first will struggle bowling department in the evening. Bating first should target around 290 plus.

I agree with you, even if Koheli was out for 30-40 runs Ind would still find it tough.
lately it seems like Koheli alone has been scoring 50-60% runs of team India.

If the others don't have to bat, and he is the dominant partner in a batting partnership (obviously he will be!), then its logical that he'll make up 50-60% of the total score.

In contemporary cricket, ABD, Amla and Kohli are without a doubt the best batsmen to watch. It's frightening to think that Kohli is even younger than Shakib and only a couple of years older than Nasir & co. If he maintains his level of fitness and form, he'll play till he's 40 like Tendulkar.

The fact is that all teams have one or two special players with the bat.
India has Kohli, Pakistan has Misbah, South Africa has Amla, Devilliers, Australia has Clarke , Sri Lanka has Sanga, Jaya etc etc.

Our problem is that against our bowling most of these guys become invincible. Our entire bowling strategy seems to revolve around waiting for the batsman to make the mistake. Players like Sanga, Kohli won't fall to stupid shots because they have their own template to success. They rotate the strike early and get set and then start dominating the bowlers.
Sadly neither our captain or our bowler has any clue as to how to tackle big players like this.

One thing we know for sure is that having a defensive field to these great players is not the answer. We have to find a way to break their concentration, block their preferred areas of scoring. I know it is easier said than done but as a Captain Mushy HAS to try rather than wait... wait... and wait until the game is over.

Don't need to think too much!

Just don't drop catches these great players offer ... and we will win most of the games...

I very much agree with Magicien bhai, we seriously need to make plans on players like Sanga & Misbah & Umar , otherwise no chance.
