Mashud should open with Omer
I was just thinking about this today.
Javed and Khaled seem to be your two best batsman, with the best techniques, most fight and most stickabality, by this I mean that they are willing to spend time at the crease, something your other batsman either can't do or find boring.
I think by having these two opening the batting they may get Bangladesh off to some solid starts that may disrupt the gameplans of the opponents, make they frustrated and therefore release the pressure on Bangladesh some what.
Just a thought, what do you think?

No. Not a good idea. Mashud has failed every time he has been promoted up the order. He is doing ok in his position. So, why change that . Besides, Nafis need to learn and removing him would not be good way to go, specially when the outcome of this match has alreday been decided. If need be, Mashud may move up one notch in the order as he is always running out of partners.

Not a good idea ROB..................
Mashud was tried against new ball before, did not come out good.
But i think Khaled Mashud should get promotion in the batting order. may be 5/6 instead of 7. but not openning.

OK, well I did't know about his failings against the new ball. I don't pay much attention to Bangladesh cricket usually.

the challenge of top order batting is different.. just surviving is NOT good enough if one wants to compete.. so mashud's promotion as aopener will hurt on both front.. on top and in the late middle where he has been so good.

Yes, Mashud(Pilot) failed before in new ball. In the 2nd innings of 1st test, Mashud came at 15.1 overs and he was successful. This is a clear indication that things have been changed. After 15.1 overs, and when the ball doesn't get any big hit (No six, couple of fours and some pushes) its totally a new ball. Even one down players hardly get a ball of that new. My idea is pulling him at Bashar's place, We don't want to see unstable Bashar playing those poor pull shots.

Well! thats not a good idea but they need a change in batting order. Like;
1. Omar
2. Nafeez
3. Ashraful
4. Bashar
5. Masud
6. Rajin
7. Aftab
8. Murtaza
9. Rafiq
10. Anowar
11. Tapash
Let see

No, not a good idea I think Mashud should stay down the batting order I think it will interfere with his keeping. How do I know? I just did the keeping and batting at three for my club today, We may of won 7 games from 7 matches and I average 136 for the season, but my back is killing me tonight.

No, he is needed where he is. Rafique should bat down the order at 9/10 from now on though. His obvious lack of technique was grating in the second innings.

That is a thought I have had as well, but some how Mashud does not want to bat up the order.
