Default British Media using Bashar the fool

England 'tougher than Australia'

Why can't Bashar just admitt that few of our batsmen played childish and couple of bowlers are out of discipline and, most importantly, he sucks as a captain who whines too much.

Now, now.... All of what you said might just be true. We did put up a pathetic performance not withstanding that last innings.

However, the BBC also tooke some liberty with the the title. Bashar had said England had proved to be tougher opponents than Australia for Bangladesh. This may just as well be because we played worse against England than against Australia. He really didn't say Eng > Aus. That was BBC's own creative title.

Bashar's captaincy is another topic. Or, if I just go back and re-read all the topics on BC, it's probably another 100 topic and 1000 replies.

I don't understand this. why british are doing all these to get an advantage over australia for the ashes. can't they realize the simple fact that whatever they do outside the field and inside the field will not save them from another ashes defeat?

I understand that Bashar never said England is better than Australia, rather he said there is no way to compare . That sounds as he is considering both team as equal.

He sounds very puzzled how the team that earned respect in Australia got so badly hammered here. Let me give him some hints-

Pace attack was too young this time when last time we had four consistant and experienced bowlers in Manju, Mashrafee, Taposh, and Sujon. Taposh is still here but out of rythom.

Same thing goes with batsmen, too many youngsters. They are talented but same time rush.

This is a hypothesis, Bashar failed to keep his feet as well as others' to the ground. All the "playing in Lord's" rubbish he was saying all the time got the team overexcited and as a result we saw a very immature performence from the team.

Also, DW...... let me stop here

ENgland same standard as Australia. Bashar is worse than even Nafees Iqbal is his interview. A lot of sledging can come his way from the Australians in the 1 day series.

Forgot to mention that in Darwin we played on a drop-in pitch. Also, Cairns is not much of a regular cricket ground. Where in England, the team had to play on excellent pitches of Lord's and Riverside in unique early English summer condition.

Anyway, the main reason for failure I say still remains the same- most of the players including Bashar played like immature teenagers.

He said in the press confference for the last test :
We know we can't win in this test so , why not trying to get used to for odi's .........

This is very positive from him and if there is any winning chance in England for us that will come with them only .......

Could the Aussies really care less about something said by a Bangladesh captain who probably only said that to get away from the annoying British media, or because he didn't know the English for "Australia are better".

You all pay too much attention to the British media on these boards, I ignore them, more rubbish is spoken than truth.

He is being misquoted, or he wasn't able to articulate properly. I believe he meant that we found conditions harder in England. That's all.

To add ot one of those above quotes. Ash's play was horrilbe. If he played a little more sensibly (well thinking about it if everyone played sensibly) we could have gotten better.

Amen brutha! However, you gotta admit, rubbish or not, those fleet st wankers do play a powerful role in shaping administrators responses - no ICC person wants to be a media villain.
