Should we be optimistic about it? Confused.

Actually this is the first time beach cricket is happening in Sub-continent, the organizers should be proud.

This was the funniest cricket I have ever watched. Even better than HB's runout. By the way, HB and K Masud was there.

The weather was not cricketing weather. Dark, very dark, wind gust minimum 30 miles+. The beach umbrellas were about to be blown away. The ground was prepared nicely. but too close to the ocean. I was worried about a tide washing up everything. The waves looked very dangerous. Overall very bad weather.

Camera action was channel I standard (those who watched PCL should know what I am taking about). Yet a heartiest Thank you for telecasting the show.

Players, six a side match, only one can be below 34 (age limit). five over match everyone but the wicket keeper have to bowl one over. No pads no gloves free style. Now that should tell you about the players size. Raqibul Hasan thought this was standup comedy and he started describing one as:

"Apnara hoito monay korben uni bideshi sumo wrestler , kintu na, uni amader priyo..." (something to that nature). The poor guy was bald (shaved few hair he had) around 5'5"-5'6" with nearly 300 lbs if not 250lbs. The large size jersey was about to burst. But he did hit some lusty blows.

The game ended as farsely as the weather. two ball remaining with 9 run required to "G-Team" to win and Shamim (50+ with glasses but excellent hitting ability already hit a six in previous delivery) left the 5th ball thinking it was a wide which meant 5 free runs. But umpire didn't call it and the "Aamaar Team" ran off because you can't score more than six runs in a ball. I must say there is no extra delivery for wide or no ball. Just five runs.

Gender makes no difference. It is a turnoff.

If I could get my co-ed beach volleyball team to play in Cox's Bazar beach cricket, the city of Cox's Bazar will have no choice but to announce curfew...

Funniest cricket ever I've seen so far..
