Mohammad Sharif still has it in him....give him a good look. with our best pace resources Injured/retired/ why not give him a go?? His Reverse Swing and New ball prowess may have been more than useful in the first test.
Bangladeshi Pacers have it the worst:
*) usually no support from the other end.
**) performing on Spin Friendly, flat decks.
***) Forgotten after a couple of average performances.
Prime Example: Robiul Islam...he started off really bad in Lords but he got a lively pitch after being persisted with for a while and look at what he is really capable of. Give Mohammad Sharif a good look, who cares if he is 32. I don't care if he is granddad by now, if he can bowl quality and pick up wickets then maybe Bangladesh missing a trick.
Maybe Kamrul has it in him too(but that would require Bangladesh investing more in him....the question is can Bangladesh afford to and is it really worth it????)

Get a grip mate! Rabbi has a domestic bowling average more than 41. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that if Rabbi can not cut the mustard in as not-so-good domestic FC as ours then how on earth he would be expected to pose any sort of trouble at international match?
Rabbi is a case of bad selection, nothing else ! He should be dropped and duely forgotten.

Let's be honest, Only reason he got selected is because Ian Pont a long ago tipped him to be one of Bangladesh's best. Like I said, Most Bangladeshi pitches are not very friendly or forgiving to pace bowlers. With that being said, I agree that Kamrul is a very bad selection given the nature of the pitch in the 1st test

I will give Rabbi another match, he looked impressive after his maiden wicket, if dropped it will be unfair, and I hope Mushy to back his pacers more.

I like this XI. gives us an extra option with bat. Taijul as good of a batsmen he is does not have the stats to back it up. one SLA should be enough...

Changed my mind. Won't take Soumy, he deserves the sitting out. He isn't reliable to a moving ball, England have players can reverse and what not. Soumy already in bad form, isn't a good idea to bring him back for this important test and his bowling won't be effective at all. Can't risk it. Best go with two pacers. Subhasish Roy seems big build can hit the deck hard get something out of it, banging it in. Rabbi has some reverse swing in his armoury but needs control too.

taijul is still averaging under 33 after 10 tests, how many BD bowlers are in that range after that many matches? Unless his average suddenly starts ballooning then he should be around the team as 2nd or 3rd choice spinner (currently behind shakib and miraz)

WHO THE F IS IN CHARGE OF TEAM SELECTION ?
Why is Hom in the team or even in the squad ??
Why is Kamrul chosen again ?
Why has Al-Amin been ignored again ?
What if the pitch changes and the spinners are useless? Was going in with only one pacer the right thing to do ?
I hope BD continuously loses matches one after another. That will teach the selectors to choose the right players rather than passengers.

Well most his success has been against Zimbos. Interesting to see his average just against Top 7test sides.

The selectors don't choose playing squad. It's the job of the team management. Please get your facts right first before continuously blaming the selectors.
The bold part would put any Bangladeshi to big shame! I hope you are not serious.
