I come to this site primarily for cricket. But lately, I also check out the sections on other stuff. For instance, at jumma this afternoon a Bangladeshi guy told me if I had heard of the explosion in Sylhet. Sure enough, I come to this site and find someone has already opened up a thread.

I have also liked Rajputro’s link on kobitaogaan. Oh those jokes by Bhanu brought back old memories. Duikhaan kotha Some people would know what I am talking about.

Pompous, thanks, but now I feel so stupid. In any case, I am in two places. The first one is I guess when I first registered, and the second one was when I first posted a message. Are all messages archived?

Cricket46, I went to "Kobita o gaan' looking for the Bhanu skit in vain.

Is it still there..? I'd love to hear those timeless jokes again.

Unfortunately, I couln't hear it as it says file not found. It probably because the Real Networks software, in this government machine is very old one (just like every other applications).

that vaanu remaind me of old days. the interesting thing is: i heard them so much, I can still remember many many of them. may be u won't believe it, even though I heard those so many times, I did not understand them. I was too young to get the joke parts out of it. then, why did I hear them? i guess, there was something funny in his voice and all that. now what i'm doing is quite interesting, i try to remember all the things (i can most of it) and from memory i can now get the fun. this is a weird way of getting jokes.
its like have a word file of jokes saved in our hard drive long time ago and then read it after about 15 years.

v: ta tumi amaray tomeder deshta ghuraiya dekhaite parba?
g: keno perbona, tumi holay giye ram chandra-er bahon, tomer shongo payoa to vagger baper.
g: ta ki dekhtay chao(or something like that)
v: oi j chhobita dekha jai or shathey kotha koitey chai.
g: o ma, shay ki koray shomvob. o to ak jon naam kora nachiye.
v: jani, jani, oray ami rabon er nach sovai nachtay dekh-si.
g: o kintu khali gaye nache. tomer dekhtay lazza korbay na to?
v: c,c,c, shai nach kao dekhtay jai naki?
g: jai manay, shomajer mani gali onekai jai.
v: ba ba ba, tomai dekhi purano jamanai cholay geso.
g: ha, tumi jamon dibbi shart pant poracho.

v: graaam, graam.
g: abar ki holo?(or something like that)
v: oi j, amar jaat vaiye ra jai.
g: ora tomer jaat vai hobe keno. ora to shob mordan chhelay.
v: tai? chhul dari julfi daikha money hoi (the next words, i remember how they sounded but don't know the exact words, can someone help) shibli bongo chora jaitasay. [he is making fun of mordern dressing].

o g: khalo manay?
v: kharaibo na? jinish taray bakaron-a falan. ami hoilam giya bangal, and apni bangali. manay, ami hoilam giya pung lingo are apni stri lingo.
o g: dhur moshai....

i don't know its making any sense. but if anyone cares, i can post some more.

AgentSmith - thank you for taking time to type the whole skit up. Its hilarious especially if you heard it before. You captured it pretty good.

The page where Bhanu's stuff is says protected by a d/l preventing software.
I wouldn't even do streaming.
I dunno if they want visitors to register or pay up to listen to them or not. Other than ' this site protected by blah blah.."..its totally blank.

Only other suggestion that I have is go to the kobita o gaan site (check the spelling). Click on the link that says " View All Music". Then click on the link that says " Koutuk O Natok".

If this does not work scream for help. There are many people smarter than me that can help you.
