Default Small Things Make Such Big Differences!

A perfect example of what The BD squad is capable of doing if they just cut off their blood-rush and put basic discipline in their batting. Just putting their heads down and cutting off all the ambitions and stick to the basics!

Time for shots will come once the attacking bowler gets impatient and starts giving lose balls. So don't gift your wickets and wait for it. Don't panic and make the bowler think by not going after the bowler... rather make the bowler come after you.

Well done BD...
Atleast giving everyone something to take from the test series... and done it in appriciable attitude. No one really gave away their wickets except for the 'Shoaib-Akhtar-of-Batting' Mr. Ashraful.

I feel better!

Comparing Shoaib with Ashraful is a disgrace for Shoaib.

Ashraful's test batting average and Shoaib's test bowling average is nearly same.......around 24!

The batting order made a huge difference. If bashar came at number 3, he would probably lit the fuge to another collaspe bomb. but him coming at number 5 helped as the ball got old. rajin, even though did not score run was there enough time to settle things down after nafis's deperture. on the other hand, pilot coming before aftab made sure not two "crazy" bashar and aftab are at the crease at the same time. that helped a lot too.

Well i think Pilot can bat at no. 4 because Ash and Rajin are playing like idiots now and they are not contributing with the bat for too long now.

If Javed can contribute then what's wrong with Ash. Nafis is facing the new ball so he can be forgiven if he gets out cheaply. India had the same problem also but what about Ash. There is no excuse in not performing in the middle order.

Ash is horrible most of the time...
he just plays one or two "great' innings once in a blue moon that saves the day for him...

a batsman of his talent and calibre should have an average of at least 35..not around 24...

and that century that comes every 3 years..well ..
then we should let him be in the team in every 3 years then...
how about that ??? cuz we know he's not gonna do any good within that time period...
so..he made a century last yr...so next time he plays for BD is WC 2007....

its just a talent gettin wasted...nothing else...

There is words such as Test Ghorana and One-Day Ghorana, and also Test-mejaj and One-day mejaj. If we differentiate Bashar or Aftab with Trescothic we find that although it seemed Tresco was playing in ODI mejaj that was not because of he thought he is playing an ODI thats because poor bowling and field placements from BD team. It is no good that you make 300 in the second day and lose 8 wickets in your second innings. We could make the whole 300 using two more sessions in the 3rd day losing lesser wicket. Thats how we differentiate Test matches from ODI's. I am very proud and happy to see BD making so much runs, players getting fifties and specially seeing Bashar come back with his bat. It could be better if Ashraful was also in the club. But again we need to think about this approach. We should never be happy with such performance.
I should rather name it a mixed reaction for myself.

Ash CAN be a wonderful player but has a lot to learn surely another player will do justice to the Bangladeshi cause......Its time for some one more consistent in the middle order, even if it means they never score 100...Just few runs at regular intervals

well, the problem i that there is zero resistance across their ears. unless that resistance is increased, we will continue to score poorly.

Zero resistance across the ears. That is a nice one

And in addition, his brain which is connected in parallel to the ears has high resistance. That explains why there is such clear path between the two ears.
