Btw, Hatebreed, I did have an ATARI when I was in Year 2 ... 1992 . None of the games were that appealing. There was a Air combat type game and a Catch the Robber - they were the best of the rest.

Not entirely related to games, but a great news for anyone from UK who owns a PSP.

BT and Sony to offer net calls on PSP

Owners of Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld console will soon be able to make voice and video calls over a wireless internet connection.

Using a soon-to be-released camera and microphone, gamers will be able to call other PSP owners and some BT phones.

The software has been developed by BT and will eventually allow PSP users to call PCs, fixed lines and mobiles.

Initially the service will only be available in the UK and will only work on home or BT wireless hotspots.

Currently, there are around 2,000 of these situated in airports, railway stations, hotels and fast food restaurants.

Next generation

More than 24 million PSPs have been sold around the world, with more than eight million of those sold in Europe.
According to BT, the software will eventually be distributed to telecoms companies in 100 other countries.

The service is part of a growing trend to enable so called voice over internet protocol (VoIP) on mobile devices.

VoIP is a method of routing voice conversations over the internet and was made popular on PCs by services such as Skype.

Now, more and more mobile handsets come with wi-fi capability and companies such as Truphone and Jajah offer services that allow people to make VoIP calls, bypassing the traditional mobile tariffs and networks.

The new PSP service takes advantage of BT's 21 Century Network (21CN), which is specifically designed to use Internet Protocol (IP) technology.
Eventually, 21CN will replace all the existing networks.

More details of the BT service will be released at the Leipzig Games Convention in August, whilst Sony's add-on camera and microphone for the PSP, known as the Go camera, will hit shelves in the UK on 25 May.

Cricket fans can soon enjoy the game on-the-go.

Brian Lara 2007 Pressure Play (PSP)

Codemasters has announced that a PlayStation Portable version of Brian Lara Cricket is heading your way this summer, complete with an all-new mission mode specially made for gaming on the go.

Brian Lara 2007 Pressure Play, as it's known, features an exclusive game mode with bite-sized cricketing challenges that take you through bowling, batting and fielding events. There are 16 missions to master, including bowling a maiden over, matches where you only have one ball left to win and more unusual 'Googly Challenges'.

Along with this new mode, Pressure Play also includes an ad-hoc multiplayer that enables two cricketers to compete wirelessly in a one-on-one ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 warm-up match. Plus, the game also has all the action from the Cricket World Cup, featuring fully-licensed teams, 240 international players, official kits and stadiums.

Two very different games. Burnout is all about adrenaline-pumping speed and carnage.. NFS is meh.. it used to be fun in its early days.

Default Graffiti of a nerdy generation

Space Invaders was one of my favourite games on the Atari 2600. It's inspired a form of street art to a French artist known only by the psedonym "Invader", who cements mosaics of the spaceships in randoms places in over 30 cities.

Dhaka is one of them.

If you've spotted one, let us know.

Thumbs up .....

For me, nothing beats the Super Nintendo/Sega Mega Drive and N64/Dreamcast/PS1 era, just because they were fun and the first bricks being laid down in the foundation to develop better consoles such as the latter PS systems, XBOX and Nintendo systems !!!!!

BTW, thanks for the thread Hatebreed.
