who should open for bangladesh?
hey guys , do u all agree to tamim opening the innings? i personaly feel he should play one down and let some slow player like shakib to open instead . tamim is a hard hitter and doesnt have the patients to play a slow innings and provide a steady start.
however he has done a really great job as an opener.

Come on mannnnnn!
There is no Tamim can not be taken as optional.
Tamim must remain at his place & I dont agree with nina at all.
I think with Tam Junaid must get a chance to settle & SN is unnecessary bcse SN sucks.
Javed omar looks more positive than SN.Should think about Nazmuddn

POTENTIAL OPENING PAIR
Undoubtedly Tammim and Javed Omar.
Omar’s job would be graft at one end and Tamim to accelerate the score.
Even if Javed scores 20 - 30 odd runs it is important that the opening pair see off the pace attack for at least 20 overs and reach a decent total so that players following them do not have to rush for irresponsible strokes.
The Left Right combination is also good to unsettle opposition team who has to rearrange field placing every now and then.
Also by bringing Javed we are bringing experience in the team which will stand BD in good stead against both India and Pakistan as they are definitely to field their best Eleven.
The No 3 spot should also change from Aftab to Rajin another grafter. The idea of having two grafters is to hold one end while the attacking players can play their normal and natural game. Also to last full 50 overs.
Ashraful needs a break from this series and should be replaced by Raqibul who is capable of grafting and then accelerating as the situation demands.
One other thing BCB got to do is to bring back Rafiq in place of Saqib. Rafiq with his wealth of knowledge would be helpful for our wickets which I am sure will be spinning ones. We cannot match India or Pakistan in the department of pace attack.
It is in the spinning department Razzaq and Rafiq will be able not only to contain the opposition batsmen but also take wickets.
I would have strongly recommended Imrul to open with Tammim. But after been soundly beaten both by India, Pakistan there is no need to experiment with new players.
My personal Selection for the upcoming series would be as follows.
1. Tammim
2. Javed Omar
3. Rajin Saleh
4. Raqibul
5. Riyad
6. Aftab
7. Dhiman
8. Mashrafee
9. Razzaq
10. Rafiq
11. Rasel /Shahadat

You know what I really think we should stop experimenting with all these players and just stick to 2 main players for opening who are playing good in that position against the top countries and bowlers. I would say We should stick to Tamim and Junaed for now because I think they are a good pair for opening and they have really good chemistry. For gods sake stop with the experimenting already!!

Exactly but lets wait until zunaed reaches his form again , in the mean time SN can be tried out, both of them have a good decent record so far as partners too,SN just needs to get it right and tamim just needs to become a more of a strike rotator .

Thank God! Someone with some common sense. Players like Nazimuddin aren't even openers, and it's obvious he prefers the middle order. Just stick to two openers - Tamim and Junaid. If one of them are terribly out of form, Nafees should get a go (as Dhrubo already mentioned). And if they're both out of form, bring Belim back. That guy's awesome.

They should give Junaed a chance to settle in. I would go with Tamim and Junaed.
But if u really want to find "chemistry" between opening pairs... try out TI and NI . It will surely be interesting!

A good opener does not necessarily mean a slow batsman. Looking at the strike rate (ODI: 68.96, T20: 81.98), Tamim is in fact a slow batsman. But he has his own style. He is a hit-and-miss batsman. He wants to hit every delivery. Most of the times, he fails to connect properly. If he connects and because of some random probability distribution, gets gap, then a boundary is scored. He scores 55% of his runs in boundaries. Of course, most of the times, if he can touch the ball, it is a mis-hit and if fortune favors, he is not caught and get a single or a double.
Anyway, talking about the openers, we actually need a 'good' batsman, who can judge the deliveries and can score quickly. If a batsman just defends every delivery, the bowler gets his rythm. Neither JO, nor Tamim can judge the deliveries; JO tries to defend everything, Tamim tries to hit every ball.

Tamim ( ofcourse) and........SN.......BUT
Sn seems to be failing, so is Zunaed...this dude is totally out of form. There is very little difference between him and SN now.
so i would say BRING BACK.........NAFEES IQBAL!

Tamim and Nafees is doing a fine job. let them alone.
Rather focus on Who should be our top order?
I say drop Aftab and Ash as punishment not on their poor performance, but on their level of understanding on their poor performance.

I think Khaleda Zia should open for Bangladesh, with Sheikh Hasina being on the non-striker's end. That way, we'll get both "aggression" and "chikna budhi" in our opening pair.

i strongly feel that we should have two different team line-ups for test and ODI!
with few players overlapping both team!
