its not fair for any player to play one match and get drop. Be a for débutant or a comeback player. anybody can have a bad day. So lets give them first 2 odi's.

btw i think Mominul will be picked ahead of nayeem tho @3

other then that 2 position the odi team is pretty much settled for the time, so i was trying to see who does the best, i agree one match is not sufficient but since there is good competition wont you like too se how everyone performs?

But just suppose if Ayub scores a flashy 200 in second innings (just suppose) then won't you be tempted to take him? I thought they could have picked the squad a day later.

our selectors have brains these days.

But even if we win the 3 odi and t20 it don't matter because we failed in the all important test match

We failed? Care to explain??
Even though the 2nd test yet to finish and we are in not bad position at all???

I thought we did very good in both test (of course, except how Anam and Marshal give away their wickets!).

and what u meant is that had we gone on to lose the match it would have been a failure for us. because we should be beating this kiwi side at hone at least

because BCB has finally grown some brains and balls to know that just because you performed in one format does not mean you will do good in the other

Perhaps Razzak's performance has shown them that there IS something called a specific format specialist.

Al Amin did well in DPL didn't he? So his ODI selection wouldn't have been a surprise. I would have gambled with him ahead of Shafiul. Shafiul much like Rubel has not improved one single bit since his debut.

if that is the case then Mash and Shafiul backed up by Zia would do the job.
I just can't remember shafiul taking a couple of new ball wickets. It is always Rubel and Shafiul getting hammered and then Razzak or Gazi or Shakib picking the first wicket at 60 runs or so

so did Rubel. Mash is a must and well zia is in simply as an allrounder.

Al amin has a good fc average hence he got a call up. lets see what happens in the future

Strange that Al-Amin gets a Test call-up but doesn't make it to the ODI squad given how well he was doing in the DPL. Still not a bad squad overall.
