Thanks for the info Saifulsohel bhai. I remember that match very well. In 2003 we came so close to beat Pakistan. 8 years later we are talking about innings defeat. This shows the progress of our test cricket.

awww. What an innings that was by Inzi. One of the greatest match winning innings.I still remember every bit of that.He was making a come back after disastrous world cup and boy he answered all his critics with bat.

And those who were waving Pakistani flags and cheering for Pakistan!!!
But I would consider them as the odd one out. When I visit BC and see how passionate the members are or see how the fans at the stadium are cheering even for a single run knowing BD is going to lose, I feel proud of our supporters !!!! I think that's the only reason ICC is still not taking away our test or ODI status.

ICC isn't taking away our status because
India
Pakistan
Sri Lanka
like having us around to make up the subcontinental quartet.

I think the massive support for Pakistan dates way back when bangladesh hadn't even entered the international arena of cricket. I used to be a huge supporter of pak back in the day precisely 99, the same year when Bangladesh defeated pak in the WC, surprising everyone.
Alas, to those people who don't value our representation in the international level through cricket.

hmm... but isn't it the Indian critics, who are always writing against BD and wants ICC to take our status away? Also how come India is still not inviting us for a series? I don't know what is going on, these are as complex as the politics in BD cricket.
Anyways my point was just to show respect to our supporters !!

Critics - that's what they do...criticize.
And with the financial wealth Indian cricket has currently, along with the resurgence of their team - lots of pundits are about. The board don't invite us, because we're losers, and hosting us won't garner them huge profits.
