The Funky Solution
This is kind of related to the right-arm spinner question, and to the issue that Bangladesh have a number of not-test-quality right arm bowlers.
Colin 'Funky' Miller turned himself from a not-test-quality right arm fastish bowler into a dual fastish-medium/offspin bowler who played 18 Tests for Australia.
Bangladesh could do a lot worse than see is Tapash Baiysa et al are any good at bowling offspin.

hey i do agree wid u on that....
I think Tapash shld try to be a spinner but also our 5'10" Talha should go for becomin a batsmen as his bowling isnt making him progress well....his bowling sucks..i think it may be bcoz he aint 6 feet and get give much bounces, he gets frustrated...
lets hope he goes for batting...batting would suit him more...

Strictly as myself:
lance you base your talha as a batsmen theory based on what foundation? Has Talha been scoring consistently in the domestic leagues? When playing does he tend to mostly play proper cricketing shots? Does he have a dogged defensive technique that compensates for any lack of stroke-playing ability? Has he demonstrated a very good hand-eye coordination? Let's hear your answer to these questions and then we can debate Talha as a batsmen theory. At least Masree & Tapash have some Test/ODI runs!

Lance,
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You know nothing about cricket.
Harold Larwood was 5'9. He was one of the best fast bowlers ever.

I know Mahmud tried offspin few times in domestic league, with very little success.
