Sorry Tigerfly conjures up images of the last thing mistresses of Mr. Woods would see before ... :-)

BanglaFly/TigerFly wont work.
BCB or any Bangladeshi didnt invent that.
Some Englishman did. Offcourse he's gonna leave our shores at some point.
Im sure he wouldnt want to donate his innovation to Bangladesh cricket.

Anyways, I think the video posted by Naimul bhai explains the delivery I was talking about. I saw Malinga doing it a few times against Aus as well now that I remember.
Alike all other variations, overuse=useless.

I think Saifullah Jem did play for the national team, but probably not in any official OD's.

Saifullah Jem was a chucker, or so I heard.
Back in those days, a lot of our domestic bowlers were chuckers.

Yes, he was a chucker indeed. But so were Rafique, Durjoy and Razzak at various points in their careers.

Nothing's wrong with diffusion or the cultural borrowing of baseball tricks to cricket starting with teaching these masum polapains on how to get to first base....

I think pont is trying to hint to bcb to sign him up permanently. We'll be shooting ourselves in the foot if we don't sign him and fountain up to a long term contract.

As long this does not cost us getting our whole pace department suspended for chucking...

I remember Murali and the dusra saga.

To people who has mentioned the Butterfly delivery and the hope we are working on other things too - please understand we have ONLY worked on line and length and yorkers since I arrived almost 8 weeks ago, with just one day or two, on variations. You need to be able to bowl a blend of deliveries and you need to be able to control the slower/change up balls, so they need to be practiced a long way out from a World Cup
From Pont's facebook.

Dilscoop your dream came true. Pont calls it changeup too.

lol obviously, that makes more sense. Plus he played baseball so..

And I hope that quote helped those of you who were complaining (more like 2 of you) about this. There is nothing wrong with learning to ball variation. You need that. It's like learning to play a new shot. You can't just do the basic all the time. And don't doubt him about not teaching basics, he is a professional world class coach. I think he knows more bowling than you 15-16 years old teens.

Also can we leave him alone on facebook? I wanna see a screen-shot of that quote. I bet some smarty asked him, "HEY! Why are you teaching our kids new stuff, do the basics!" Only person you should bug and give advice to on facebook and stuff is JS. He could use A LOT of help.
