Default Dirk Nannes Suspects Spot-Fixing in Bangladesh Premier League

"Nannes, a journeyman who played in a host of Twenty20 competitions around the world, said his concerns mostly centred on the Bangladesh Premier League.

He says spot-fixing was widely suspected in the Bangladeshi competition.

"The (International Cricket Council) security guys knew it," Nannes told ABC radio on Friday.

"The guys on the ground knew it; everybody knew it. What do you do as a player?"

Quote:
"There were (team) owners who would come along," he said of his stint with Sylhet Royals in Bangladesh.

Lol, after that Sun article I expected a lot of these news popping up out of nowhere, everyone wants a share of that publicity pie. How trustworthy is that nine sports? @Dinraat, @Aklemalp

Wonder what took him so long, where was this concern during his mercenary days?

Pretty trustworthy. But we will have to see what happens.

It's also on ABC news and News.com.au

So this is 95% legit.

It may be legit but the thing is if it was something serious we would have known about it before.

Regarding Dirk Nannes in BPl..

I remember he lost his mobile phone during the net practice in BPL 2.. it made a big news then and he was also furious...

I think he should be bold enough to give discrete proof who are exactly involved in fixing.. Just poking around and giving weak broken evidences will only make him look like fool...

A local net bowler took my phone from my bag, but no one can be bothered to get him and return my phone and cash. Not good enough!

Just like the Harvey Weinstein cases where everyone is coming out with accusations, although perhaps many could be true

He is 41 years old and has played in the BBL in 015 and 014. He has enough money to not apply for the BPL.

Why can’t the fans of your country follow their players and stay away from Bangladesh cricket forums too?

Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, Afridi aren't that well-off I guess....!

You come into a forum community to rile up members by trolling their main topic of interest and passion, and expect no one to react at all?

And this coming from the world's most overly-sensitive, embarrassingly nationalistic people. 99% of Indians on this forum are just here to troll. Says a lot about your kind. Definition of "double-standards".
