Once upon a time it was rare for the team.

I hope he is considered soon before he becomes too old to be considered.

After spending so much time against slow mediums like Kamrul and Mamun, Jahurul first needs tune up his timing against the bowling machine, and also prolly against the pacer that will be on the bench during the 1st Test. He should not be in consideration for the 1st Test. Siddons needs to watch him in the nets for a week and then decide on him for the 2nd Test.

my guess is Nayeem will come in and zunaed and Aftab will still play. so omi's best chance will be in the 2nd test, assuming Zunaed or Aftab fails miserably, which is very much possible.

1) He was the 10th best batsman of DPL (in terms of runs scored)
2) He is not actually 'tukush tukush' as far as i know. he can be aggressive at times. but i rate him as a sensible batsman.

Don't think he will be (& shouldn't be) picked agt. England. he is there just as a cover. Nayeem would be a much better bet.
But this stint may serve him world of good in future. Practice facilities are mighty different in and out of the national squad
don't know much about his keeping.

Sad that he had to come amidst a dramatic situation. dont' think he will be mentally ready to play right now

If Jahurul can expand like Riyad i ll be so happy both have the same record of 4 century in a domestic reason.

Jahurul - how long he will be overlooked?
To answer your question, precisely 4 hours!

Well he got his chance. With his record, he is bound to get a few games in the near future even if not in the current series. With Raqib gone, Ash struggling and Zunaed and Aftab being themselves, this is his opportunity to make one of the middle order positions his own. He will have only himself to blame if he fails.

hmmm, it seems strange that you started this thread, whilst at the same time the whole Raqibul debacle was going on, and 4 hours later news broke out Raqibul quit and Jahurul was in the squad.

BTW, he scored only 401 runs in DPL, not 500. It was some crackhead BCB scorer added the numbers wrong.

not necessarily, considering Siddons love for Aftab, Junaid and Ash; Jahurul may not get a chance for a long time and even if he does he will get one game
