Think last major "Away" tour were Australia in 2014, England, NZ and South Africa. Before that in 2012. Those didnt go too well did they? For a team that plays so much cricket, India has smartly chosen its matches last 3 years-mostly at home, and Sri Lanka and West Indies away. And we all know how these two sides are.

Next years tours will be a real test of how well India has progressed as a side.

Bar England we did much better than other subcontinent teams in NZ, SA and Aus. People like you often forget that during that time we too were in a transition period having lost the big five, although they themselves were quite poor during last couple years of their career. Before that we beat SA in SA and drawn a series against an ATG Aus team in Aus, something Asian teams can only dream off.

Don't worry about us and mark my words, we will surely do well overseas this time, we have got all the bases covered, I am bookmarking this thread and will bump it time to time to say "I told you so" just like I did with the SL-Pak thread.

Play Zimbabwe and NZ first and then go for SA. Bangladesh didn't tour Zimbabwe for a while. However, a loss can really hurt the ranking. The same is true for WI series.

However, we will produce ATG bowlers at the same time in the likes of Hom, Tanbir, Taskin. We will think wow!! Namlei fifers in domestic like dudh bhat. Get them in the national side ASAP. Then the reality hits like an in coming train. NO stopping.
