Who is the most stylish 6 hitter?
For Bangladesh I love our little Mushy in that category.
For outside do not have any obvious pick.
What say you?

Used to be Alok Kapali. Probably the most elegant batsman. Too bad he didnt do justice to his talent.

For 6s, ususally I don;t look for style, I look for brute power... that excites me more. Therefore I enjoy gayle, Afridi, Perara hitting 6s. In case of Bangladesh, I liked Mashrafee's 6s. Hopefully Zia can do that in future.

In bd alok, ash, Rahim and anamul's six hitting eye pleasing. International ponting, gili, Fleming,Lara and ganguly's sixes were eye pleasing. I like timing sixers then muscle power sixes.

This thread got me thinking - who has hit the most sixes for Bangladesh? How regularly does a batsman hit a six, in all forms of the game? Just going by the names mentioned above...
(Aggregate Test/ODI/T20i)
Shakib - 9176 BF in 228 innings - 60 sixes - 153 deliveries faced/per six
Tamim - 9312 BF in 221 innings - 72 sixes - 129 deliveries faced/per six
Mushfiq - 9098 BF in 222 innings - 67 sixes - 136 deliveries faced/per six
Ashraful - 11243 BF in 311 innings - 62 sixes - 181 deliveries faced/per six
Alok - 3103 BF in 107 innings - 14 sixes - 222 deliveries faced/per six
Aftab - 3704 BF in 127 innings - 58 sixes - 64 deliveries faced/per six
Mahmudullah - 4524 BF in 148 innings - 38 sixes - 119 deliveries faced/per six
Nasir - 3122 BF in 73 innings - 28 sixes - 112 deliveries faced/per six
Anamul - 1161 BF in 31 innings - 22 sixes - 53 deliveries faced/per six
Mashrafe - 2823 BF in 189 innings - 81 sixes - 35 deliveries faced/per six (0.43)
Rafique - 3298 BF in 170 innings - 63 sixes - 52.3 deliveries faced/per six (0.37)
Zia - 236 BF in 23 innings - 16 sixes - 15 deliveries faced/per six
A caveat: I confess that the value of 'deliveries faced/per six' is limited as it doesn't take into account a player's batting position, overall batting average, strike rate, the match situation, etc. I also admit that I am uncertain whether Statsguru accounts for all the deliveries faced by the aforementioned players before 2004 as ball-by-ball information was more sketchy then.
Nevertheless, I think it gives some idea of how often a batsman has been able to successfully hit a six. What it doesn't reveal is how many matches the aforementioned deliveries are spread over! For instance, Zia's one six per 15 balls faced sounds impressive but the fact that he only plays about 10 deliveries per innings means that the likelihood of actually hitting a six each time he comes out to bat is slim.
So, Mashrafe has the highest aggregate of sixes so far. It's interesting that Alok Kapali's sixes have left such an impression on people's minds given that he's only hit 14 of them in international cricket!
In their short spell in international cricket, Zia and Anamul have hit sixes very frequently but their sample size is still small. In contrast, Aftab and Rafique have hit sixes with regularity over an extended period of time.
Coming back to the topic of this thread though, I personally think Anamul and Ashraful are the most stylish six hitters. One can hope that Sabbir will be too one day.

Alok Kapali is remembered for his heroics in ICL. He did play a damn good tournament despite the questionable quality of bowling.

Good data Navo.
I missed Anamul. Looks like most likely Anamul will beat every one pretty soon and will be undisputed Sixer of BD team.
And yes, his 6s are pretty good and still fresh in my mind.
