Phew...the way Gayle played during the previous WI tour of Bangladesh, I though he is a very good batsman. I guess back then we were crap! Now he can't even reach double figures against us!
|
Taking nothing away from BD ... Gayle is in a slump right now .... started on the England tour
|
Gayle is plain lucky to have scored that many runs with such an atrocious technique. His feet don't move at all. He will only get worse as he ages and his eye-hand coordination wanes.

Well I won't call it luck ..... if he managed to score so many with his lead feet .... imagine how much better he could be if he only listened to his coaches!!!

I think even if half of our top batsmen can connect the ball today, we can chase down any number of runs.

He has had PLENTY of time to listen to his coaches. His technique cannot be changed after 90 ODIs. He is a handicap that somehow delivers in spurts.
His counterapart is our chacha. WE know he sucks at bowling. But somehow he takes crucial wickets sometimes.
