Thanks. How about the 220V? Do I need to get a converter for 120 to 220? or does the power supply work for both?

PS3 has a universal power supply unit so it should be fine.
"We have confirmation from SCEA now that the power supply inside the Playstation 3 is, in fact, universal. The power supply supports 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 Hertz, which is useable in all modern power grids -- including Europe. Although European markers require a different physical plug for their infrastructure, there is no need to replace the power supply."
It's unlikely PS3 games will get pirated anytime soon because 1) games on Blu-ray discs are huge so downloading them is not practical. 2) even if you could, Blu-ray writers are expensive. and 3) You'll get banned parmanently from the PlayStation Network if Sony detects you're playing pirated games and they have measures in place to detect it.
I have played Ninja Gaiden Sigma but not not Sigma 2. I've only played the demo and not really as interested in it as before. I might still give it rent. I'm more looking forward to Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno and of course God of War III.
I have Killzone 2 and I absolutely love it. It's one of the best multiplayer games on the PS3 and we can play together if you get it. I don't have Resistance 2 but people who have seem to love it. It's up to you to get either or both. I'll be getting Modern Warfare 2 next month, MAG in January and then Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in March.
As for racing games I only have Burnout Paradise which is awesome. I found the first MotorStorm too difficult to handle. It's just not my type of racing game. I'm just waiting for Gran Turismo 5 to come out.

LittleBigPlanet (Game of the Year edition)
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (if he likes it, then get him the sequel R&C: A Crack In Time which just came out)
Fat Princess (this is a really addicting online multiplayer game where you have to rescue your princess who's imprisoned in the enemy castle and being fed "magical" cake that makes her too fat to rescue easily. The twist is, the enemy princess is also in your castle and you have to keep the enemy from rescuing her while you attempt to rescue yours. Enough said)
