Thanks. How about the 220V? Do I need to get a converter for 120 to 220? or does the power supply work for both?

Believe it or not someone was lame enough to open such a thread here on that topic in BC....if I could just find it.

PS3 has a universal power supply unit so it should be fine.

"We have confirmation from SCEA now that the power supply inside the Playstation 3 is, in fact, universal. The power supply supports 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 Hertz, which is useable in all modern power grids -- including Europe. Although European markers require a different physical plug for their infrastructure, there is no need to replace the power supply."

this applies for the new ps3s. The older models did not have universal power supply.

Do u guys think the ps3 games will ever be pirated anytime soon?

It's unlikely PS3 games will get pirated anytime soon because 1) games on Blu-ray discs are huge so downloading them is not practical. 2) even if you could, Blu-ray writers are expensive. and 3) You'll get banned parmanently from the PlayStation Network if Sony detects you're playing pirated games and they have measures in place to detect it.

Here is an interesting article explaining how- http://www.ps3center.net/article/202...3-been-hacked/

I have played Ninja Gaiden Sigma but not not Sigma 2. I've only played the demo and not really as interested in it as before. I might still give it rent. I'm more looking forward to Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno and of course God of War III.

HB, what are your favorite first person shooters for ps3? i was thinking of getting killzone 2 or resistence 2. have you played them? Any preferences?

Also for racing games, do you have any advice? I was thinking of getting the second motorstorm since i really liked the first one...

I have Killzone 2 and I absolutely love it. It's one of the best multiplayer games on the PS3 and we can play together if you get it. I don't have Resistance 2 but people who have seem to love it. It's up to you to get either or both. I'll be getting Modern Warfare 2 next month, MAG in January and then Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in March.

As for racing games I only have Burnout Paradise which is awesome. I found the first MotorStorm too difficult to handle. It's just not my type of racing game. I'm just waiting for Gran Turismo 5 to come out.

Are any of you guys excited about particular releases that are coming up? Me, I'm really looking forward to Tekken 6. Has anyone played the demo yet?

PS3 owners in the US should be happy to know Netflix is officially coming to PS3.

Sucks for me though since Netflix is not available in the UK. *sigh*

Definitely not until summer next year.. even then it's doubtful as I've been planning for a Eurotrip for a long time.

I thought you lived in the US? Or are you moving back to BD?

LittleBigPlanet (Game of the Year edition)

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (if he likes it, then get him the sequel R&C: A Crack In Time which just came out)

Fat Princess (this is a really addicting online multiplayer game where you have to rescue your princess who's imprisoned in the enemy castle and being fed "magical" cake that makes her too fat to rescue easily. The twist is, the enemy princess is also in your castle and you have to keep the enemy from rescuing her while you attempt to rescue yours. Enough said)

That's all I can think of right now.

Burnout Paradise (Ultimate edition).

There is a really promising kart caring game coming out called ModNation Racers. So keep an eye out for that also.

And of course Gran Turismo 5 is coming out next March.
