Does anyone know how to figure out the Net Run Rate (NRR)? The table is currently:

Zimbabwe +0.27
Bangladesh -0.293
South Africa +0.111

Assuming SA win tomorrow, how much would they need to win by for Bangladesh or Zimbabwe to progress?

Anyways, mission accomplished. Weve learnt to win in T20s, not by the most convincing style though.
to our approach today. Junaid shouldve tried to ensure that we can at least manage a win and then slash the ball to all parts to ensure we win by a good margin. MMW, had we won with 3 overs to spare, we wudnt have to go through all this NRR

here is the calculation:

If ZIM win or Tie, we are in the finals by points alone
If SA wins, they will have better NRR than us regardless of the margin. So for us to topple ZIM:

Our RR is 4 x -.293 = -1.172
ZIM RR is 3 x .27 = .81

So ZIM needs to lose at -1.98 or 2 for us to topple them. 2 RR = 40 run loss.

If ZIM bat first and score 160 (8 per over) then SA will need to chase at +2 or 10 per over so in 16 overs.

anyway,even if we don't get to the finals I won't be too disappointed.

even if SA wins tmmrrw (we will be most probably out) it means every team won 2 and lost 2 games.

Considering the fact that we r poor in T20S,lost first 2 but came back with a fighting spirit and won next 2,and also beating SA w.o Sakib & Tamim, makes me feel good.

This un official tour is for us to improve our skills and winning 2 after losing 2 is surely sign of improvement.

Raynman bhai is kind of spot on, SA shud try to win by 45 runs if bat 1st. and batting second, get them out cheaply and win it handsomely

SA batting first will help our cause for number of reasons. If SA bat first they will try to get as max total as possible so there might be a case that they reach atleast 180 and then Zimbabwe wobble chasing 180. If Zimbabwe bat first and score anything around 150, don't think SA is going to manage that in 10 RPO (assuming SA needs to chase any total with 10 RPO to get BD to final) as the wicket again showed as it slows down considerably in 2nd period; SA batting first will be the ideal scenario for us. All hopes on Zimbabwe that they just beat SA so no calculations required really.
