Default We should strongly consider 1 Pacer vs the Windies

This is the game! Win and we can Touch the QF

Botha and Tahir ripped right through them, WI batsmen had no Footwork they were clueless on how to play the spin.

Pack the side with Spinners who can 40-45 overs (Ash, Ryaid, Naeem all 3), the overs will tick by and they wont realize how many dot balls they've wasted.

3 overs of Rubel will not do

Shaiful & Razzak to open and than Shak has to rotate the other bowlers to never get them comfortable

Well, if we gotto pick another spinner in place of one of the seamer, then i will rest Rubel(it will be harsh to drop him) and bring in Shuvo...Riyad is useless as a bowler in ODI...Also Shuvo's fielding is a plus point compare to Riyad.

Nope, it's always go to have that extra option, over doing something is never good. You only need 1 spinner to crush a side and we got 4!

Razzak
Shakib
Naeem
Ash/Riyad

is enough spin for a 50 over match, there is no point in having an extra one. Shafiul and Rubel should stay in the team.

We need 2 pacers just in case one of them has a bad day (like Shaful had against India). We have plenty of spin options even if we play 2 pacers.

I think that it's quite a good idea, apart from the fact that the spin will probably not work against Gayle. Rubel hasn't done badly, no need to drop him.

My theory is you get an Extra Bat in, if Rubel is not opening like today than he's only good for a few overs regardless. Thats just a waste

I'm confident we would clean them up

@cricman - I predict a few reverse swinging wickets for Rubel in the next match if we we get some runs to play with.

No never ever play one pacer, its a ridiculously bad idea.

Rubel has been bowling very well, give him a ball that reverses, and you have the most deadliest pace bowler in Asia

We could do it if we had a parttime pacer. Like what aftab used to do. Otherwise it could be too risky

I have an idea! Drop Junaed for Riyad and play Riyad at one down, retain Sir Ash and drop one of pacer for Shuvo.
1.TIK
2.IK
3.Riyad
4.Mushy
5.Shakib
6.Rocky
7.Sir Ash
8.Nayeem
9.Shuvo
10.Raj
11.Shafi
............ .............................. ...........
By this way we can play 3 SLAs, 2 Offies, another Looppy(Sir Ash)

Zunaid is in a good form. There is no way we should drop him. We should probably bring Shuvo and drop Ashraful. Razzak does not have teeth anymore, so bringing Shuvo would be a good idea. Leave Ryad out of XI. He is out of form. We still need a good pacer besides Shafiul, but we don't have any at this moment. So we have to keep Rubel in XI.

Why should we continue with Ashraful? just because he got two wickets?... he was picked for his batting role in the power-play and he failed yet again... he will get hammered against the stronger sides...

I am no fan of one FB.

Plus Shafiul was great in this match. And Rubel was the best bowler against India. In this game Rubel was not bad.

If we play with one pacer, the entire balance of the bowling attack will be ruined. Currently we have four spin bowling option in each game and two of them are really great... We don't need a fifth one.

Yep. You need at least one good pacer to handle PPs and to clean up the tail. If you take only one pacer and if he struggles to bowl in right areas on that day, the result can be disastrous (just think what if we picked only Rubel and left out Shafiul in the last ODI !).

Even though ashraful got 2 wickets i would still drop him, although the bcb won't. MMW ashraful will will do crap in this match.
My 11:
1.TIK
2.IK
3.Junaid
4.Mushy
5.Shakib
6.Rocky
7.Naeem
8.Raj
9.Shuvo
10.Shafi
11.Rubel

Tamim should play similar to Sehwag's method in trying to bat a long time. No risky shots needed until he has got his century It will be better 4 the team.

Only if two ifs come true -
1. If we had two batsman who can bowl medium pace and
2. If we paly in the pitch that we used against IRE, not IND.
