I am not complaining. what I am saying some people where questioning sid cricket knowledge and what not by saying why this was not done before wc and the bowling coach said in some thread sid didn't want this before wc. I am just showing the fact that he must have some reason. just because one coach who comes to bc and saying stuff about our coach doesn't make it right.and people should know that instead of screaming blindly. which we are very good at, else why would we have so many people in a michil behind these corrupts politicians?

Yup I agree with you 100%. That's what the Zimbabwean batsmen seem to like though. Play on the back foot.

Well, if Siddons was here still, the players would be no where near as fit, nor would the players been enjoying themselves the way they have.
The back up players and such wouldn't have been here, they would've been sitting at home wondering why their not in contention any more.

This is not first time a cricketer got injured while playing football. Football should not be part of any cricket training. I advice "Gollachut" to be part of training instead of football. It is much more safer option.

do you have any proof of that? we had the fittest players during his time from previous era. saying something like that with proof is just spreading rumors which is against BC rules.

Did you see how tired Imrul was after scoring 70 against Australia? And it was due to tiredness he got out on 93.

and you didn't see any SA or australian players tired after 60/70? they were more fit genetically then us and still they were drained. the weather was like that. ok if he was fit he would get another 30 but if he got injured during fitness training we would have lost against HOLLAND...

damnit...whats the injury?

if its stitches, it should be fine in 5 weeks time. you can recover from a c-section in less time than that.

One player's setback may be another player's opportunity.

Whoever replace him, I hope he take this opportunity as a steeping stone for his career.

This isn't strength training firstly it is hand eye co-ordination and general fitness. Football is used a huge amount in world cricket. Banglaboys LOVE playing football. We used it as part of the warm up every match. So Jamie DID have it.

Secondly, keeping the players interested with a variety of activities is great. You can be injured tripping up a step or slipping on the wet, shower floor, so all this is nonsense about this injury.

Grant has done an amazing job at getting these guys very fit and agile. They look SO much better than they did. In some matches bowlers and batsmen got cramp too easily and became extremely tired too fast. We should see a huge difference now in the players being able to keep going.

Injuries are all part of cricket - whether in nets, training or matches. Players should be athletes. They are supposed to be professional sportsmen after all.

Please don't embarrass yourselves with a lack of understanding about fitness. Different types of training are good for you, help keep players motivated and also use different muscle groups. The lads love their football. That isn't about to stop anytime soon because someone got an injury.

What injury does he have? Sprain? Fracture? Ligament tear?

PS - still haven't learned to read Bangla yet...place blame with Rosetta Stone.

Good opportunity to try someone new. We can't be relying upon 2-3 pacers only. I'd give Shuvashish Roy a go.

Your talking like the situation wouldn't of changes if Imrul got out. Shakib wouldn't of played that stupid shot, and Nafees would be even more circumspect.

Contrasting reports by Prothom-Alo reporters. Yesterday the reporter said he is out for over 6 weeks. Today saying only for a week.

Kal bollo angul fete geche aj boltese angule betha peyeche. Ei reporter gula re majhe majhe mon chai scarecrow er moto kore dar korai rakhte..

Anyways I hope today's report is true. He is our only Test quality pacer.

^^ Shamsur Rahman's injury is minor.
Just a little cut on his lips.
He should be fine.

that means they have no clue. they haven't spoken to any doctors. if it was a serious injury i'm sure we'd know by now because the attending physician's prelim report must have come out to the media by now. still you never know...

lets hope its much ado about nothing at all and a minor niggle. rajib even when struggling is a beauty to watch.
