He needs to perform big now and shut the mouths of all those criticizers. Before that though, he needs to make it into the XI...

Even though I had a hunch this was going to happen, its definitely a relief that he's back in. As Isnaad said its time he performs. Its been a while since he last performed and he needs to prove himself again and show why he's 1 of the best openers in the world.

Was the Tamim saga a trap for Akram to replace him by Kamal saheb?

Any opener can score more than 0, 4, and 0 in a three game opportunity.

To me, it's just a case of having one terrible series. Yes, he's not been his usual fluent-self in the recent past, but still he has managed to score reasonably. You can't compare him with Ashraful because even with his terrible form in the last 10 innings, he has maintained an average of 23.88 which is similar to Ashraful's career average over almost 11 years.
Also Tamim's last 10 Test innings : 21, 14, 15, 9, 83, 14, 37, 52, 43, 15 with an average of 30.3.
You simply do not leave out one of your best performers based on 5 innings. So, no selectors didn't do any wrong and Akram has every reason to blow the whistle since this is the first time their signed team has been altered/modified/shortened.
Then Ash can too Mizan bhai!!!

Good post p_man!

why all the spotlight on Tamim? The more we talk about him, the more nervous he will feel, the more chances of him not playing his A game, Why can't we leave him alone for now so he can focus...

Bodna sent a sms from England asking not to pick Tamim. But he is picked anyway. BCB should follow the decision of its president. I don't like this rebellious nature at all.

j/k.

This Tamim exclusion and inclusion is just a joke.We are watching lot of dramma from BCB.
1.Shakub in then out as captain
2.Tamim in and. out as vice captain
3.Ash always in in and out game.
4.SN and Naeem is also in the list.
5.Atlast they also have started with the best batsman of the team?
Great job BCB
