Default Shakib Al Hasan on IPL's Most Wanted List!

Shakib Al Hasan had been named in the IPL's Most Wanted List: http://www.cricinfo.com/ipl2010/cont...ry/444946.html

This means theres a huge possibility he'll be picked by an IPL team this year

George Binoy:
Right, Shakib Al Hasan is up for auction. Base price of $100,000. He went unsold surprisingly last year while Mortaza went for lots and lots. and Shakib remains unsold yet again.

I don't know the IPL schedule, but I am part of the reason is might be shakib's lack of availability. Bangladesh has a very busy international schedule during the coming months and then Shakib has commitments during english county season.

I feel sorry for his pockets a bit..but glad he's not been picked. You wouldn't want all the other international teams figuring out how to play him thru players in the same IPL team...plus its a waste of time...IPL. Noone ever learns anything..

Glad that Shakib was not picked for the crappiest ever tournament of cricket history. And no, it is not sour grapes. Never liked IPL and bully Modi, and never will.

Phew ! what a relief ! I was hoping for this for months. I sure did not want Saqib to lose focus away from our national team. Next six months are just too important for us. I was following the auction. Sure glad I got my wish.

Really sad to see Sakib missing out.
It would have been a good outing for him mixing with other players in a different environment...
Ah well..he's got plenty of time...

Sad that Shakib didnt get picked, it is because of his availability...that the same reason why no english players(except Eoin Morgan) got picked, cause of the Bangladesh-England series during that time

You know things are bad when you see Roach getting payed 720k and Damien martyn picked as a 20/20 specialists. Another year of IPL boycott for me.

Dude its very logical why Shakib didnt get picked...the contracts offered in this years auction lasts for 1 year, which means 1 season...this coming march, and during that time both Bangladesh and English players are unavailable , its not like they can use the players next season as the contract is for 1 year, so if they got picked it basically means giving them money for nothing cause theres gonna be a new auction next year where all the players contracts end and everyone gets auctioned again like the inaugral season

This year the first and foremost criteria for selection was AVAILABILITY, as all the contracts are for 1 year

Shakib, the MOST neglected player in IPL ! so shakib better announce tht he wont play crap tournament like IPL rather focus on County league where he could play one day, 4day matches in england. and we should not forget, all the pakistani/indian/sl players who got a chance of playing in county league only got improved but nothing else.
