bangladesh can surpass west indies in 2010
if bangladesh can win a few odi matches against top sides, and west indies loses a few matches against zimbabwe, i think it is possible that bangladesh can become no. 8 side at the end of 2010. what do you think?

they have a serious chance in 2010. all they have to do is win a few matches. they should beat new zealand, it is a golden chance.
west indies will lose 5-0 against australia most likely, then if they lose 1-2 games against zimbabwe then that will be good for bangladesh.

zimbabwe is getting andy blignut back, who is a good hitter. zimbabwe is improved now, so you never know they may win 1 or 2 games.

I think i'm having a dejavu.
vu vu vu.
Didnt we just talk about the same stuff a little while ago, where we thought we gonna win atleast one single match in the triseries and then the Carribeans would lose their matches in aus and all that.
Ah well, lets talk again.
Yes we can.

last tri series and this tour is different.
in the tri-series we bowled 2nd, which was a mistake. not a single team won bowling second in that series. anyway, there is no need to make up excuses. we need to move forward.
new zealand is an average team, so maybe bangladesh can beat them if the batsmen do well.

I think you're totally spot on especially after yesterdays brilliant batting performance.

remember, we don't need to win all the matches. we just need to win a few matches in 2010.
we are not very far. west indies has 76 points i believe, we have 54 points. we will get to play a lot of ODI matches this year.

Wasi bhai, maybe BD will reach thenumber 8 spot or maybe BD will go down to number 10 or 11......all these calculation based on hope and assumption of other supperior teams screwing up and weakening and in the process/chance I/we climb the ladder doesn't really stand strong fundamentally, you/we can climb to a momentary number 8 spot due to other's demise, but how long can you hold it with our own weakness and instability? What is the value that you put on this being number 8 for a few months deal? What would it really do to improve Bangladesh cricket? I say nothing.
But I do get your point and calculation though.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for adding the word "brilliant" right after the "average" comment.

if we manage to become no. 8, it will boost our team's mentality a lot i think.
currently bangladesh has a fine team but they need a mental boost to perform on a regular basis (i believe). by being no. 8, they can have that mental boost.

This thread needs to be destroyed. We have freaking Mt Olympus to climb to even get close to West Indies the way we're going.
