RIP.
He was a professional and gentleman.
My condolences to his family and loved ones.
Nafis and I met him at the BCB office during the WC and he treated us with utmost grace and courtesy and gave us quite a long time even while he was in also meeting with a few BCB directors regarding the WC.

May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to his family. Posting a pic courtesy of tigercricketdotcom (so as the news don't appear too abstract...)

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun.
Deepest condolence to the bereaved family.
I also have had the pleasure of meeting him once in his office, on 1st of Jan, 2011, with Miraz bhai and Ahmed_B bhai.
He was such a gentleman.
This is indeed a very sad news.

Taking this and Doc's post into account, why is it that only the good die young?
Btw, any word on if Loitta put out any hits recently given Manzur's professionalism is in direct violation of his totalitarian and ego-maniacal regime?

How do you think Heaven is so well run? Plus less exposure to earthly life = less chances of slipping/sinning
For a family man such as myself the most horrifying part is that he died without any family nearby. When I pass on, I would definitely want to have one last gaze on my nearest and dearest ones.

Innallihai Wa Inna Ilahi Raziun.
Found out the news on Jason Swift's twitter page, really sad and shocking not only beacuse he dies at the tender age of 57 but also coz his family were not around when he passed. May his soul rest in peace..

BCB CEO Manzur Ahmed dies
Star Online Report
Manzur Ahmed, chief executive officer of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), died Tuesday morning at his old DOHS residence in the capital. He was 57.
BCB officials confirmed the news at a programme organised at a city hotel ahead of the Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 tournament.
Manzur was schedule to attend the programme.
Manzur, a former national cricketer, also served as CEO of Brunei Darussalam Cricket Association.
He took over the role of CEO from acting CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury in September, 2010.
Manzur had represented Bangladesh as a wicketkeeper in the early 1980s and has had a distinguished club and zonal cricket career spanning two decades.
He was an engineering graduate of the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and had completed his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration of Dhaka University. He was also an IT specialist.
Manzur, the elder brother of former national wicketkeeper turned computer analyst Nasir Ahmed Nasu, is BCB's third CEO after Zimbabwean Macky Dudhia and Mahmudur Rahman.

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. This is really a shocking news, saw him totally fine in a press conference for BPL a day before and now he isn't there anymore, it's really hard to digest. He was one of the few competent and professional people there were in BCB and our cricket will dearly miss his service, may his soul rest in piece.
