Who would be your Ideal World IX & Asia IX?
Although none of them seem to be playing any time soon, I just wanna see your guys opinions
Rules:
Asia IX has to have minimum two players from one nation, can be more.
World IX is any player of your choice, although one associate player must be picked.

Asia XI:
Sehwag, Tamim, Hafeez, Sangakkara, Misbah-ul-Haq, Shakib, Angelo Mathews, Dhoni (C & WK), Ajmal, Umar Gul, Malinga
World XI:
Watson, Cook (C), Amla, Trott, AB deVilliers (WK), Ian Bell, Ryan ten Doeschate, Bresnan, Vettori, Swann, Mitchell Johnson
and you've made a mistake, it's XI not IX

Tamim??? Let's be serious guys. Is Tamim ahead of Dravid?? The only change I'd make to the Asia XI is replacing Tamim with Dravid. For my World XI, 1. Cook(C), 2. Watson, 3. Trott, 4. Bell, 5. Kallis, 6. AB de Villiers, 7. Prior(wk), 8. Broad, 9. Swann, 10. Steyn, 11. Anderson

Definitely not Haddin for keeper. Trust me, I'm an Aussie and he must be close to being dropped from our team, let alone making a hypothetical world XI. Go for the Englishman, Prior. Also, Brett Lee has retired from tests so would only be able to play ODIs anyway, and apart from that I'd go for Ryan Harris. He's easily the best Aussie quick at the moment, although he's temporarily out injured from the current test Vs SL. Lee has been a great servant for OZ cricket but he's just about had it these days.

Got it ? Why did i pick Tamim ?? OP has said to pick at least 2 players from each country. Tamim is the second best player after Shakib for Bangladesh.

Wow none of my squads were in harmony with "thechosenone"'s rules. okay:
Asia XI:
1. Tamim
2. Hafeez
3. Dravid
4. Sangakkara
5. Dilshan
6. Dhoni(wk/c)
7. Shakib
8. Mathews
9. Praveen Kumar
10. Ajmal
11. Aizaz Cheema
On current form this is what I could come up with. 2 Deshis, 3 Pakis, 3 Lankans, 3 Indians. My World XI coming soon...

Here's the World XI:
1. Cook(Eng)
2. Mawoyo(Zim)
3. Trott(Eng)
4. S. Marsh(Aus)
5. Bell(Eng)
6. MEK Hussey(Aus)
7. Prior/wk(Eng)
8. Broad(Eng)
9. Anderson(Eng)
10. Copeland/Jarvis
11. Dockrell(Ire)
I would've just taken the whole Eng squad and made it my World XI squad, but that would just make things boring. Since SA, NZ and WI haven't played a test in while their players miss out. I was forced to include 1 of my fellow countrymen and Mawoyo is the obvious choice. Couldn't choose between Copeland and KJ and Dockrell was the only associate player who came to mind and he comes in ahead of Swann! He hasn't played a Test I know, but I'm just following BG's rules!
