I think Ashraful should have been axed a long time ago, still i wonder how he manages to make it in the squad. But then agian Shakib didn't perform well with the bat either, he was pathetic and he seems more like a tailender batsman. Rokibul is another waste and also an overrated test player, he hardly performs.
The people who needs to be dropped are as follows:
1) ASHRAFUL - His average after 50 odd tests is painful.
2) Rokibul - I thought we would have been our best test batsman so far he has proved me wrong.
3) Imrul - He will be our next Ashrafool, it would be wise to drop him now before we make another Fool.

My test squad for the next match
1) Tamim
2) Junaid
3) Mehrab Hossain Jnr
4) S. Nafees (I think he deserves one more chance as most batsman failed so it would be unfair)
5) Mushfiq
6) Mahmudullah
7) Naem Islam
8) Shakib (he's a tailender batsman who sometimes strikes)
9) Shahadat
10) Rubel
11) Shafiul / Mahbubul

his test batting has just gotten worse and worse over the years...he really does need a break.

i say keep him for the series, and only play him in tests in the subcontinent - and maybe even then only against IND/SL. and he should only bat at 5 on down.

I thing dropping Raqib would be harsh on him. Unline Shakib/Ash/Imrul/SN he did not go all guns blazing. He tried to put a value on his wicket, plus he was undone by some great bowling by Ishant.

NO Ashraful
mushy should come in at 4, where the best batsman plays. slot # 3 should go to a grafter, may be zunaed. no way riyad will come after naeem.
nafees can have another chance, so can bhimrul but not ash.

gavaskar thinks he is incapable of playing at this level. I'll go by his judgement.

The people who needs to be dropped are as follows:
Ashraful is like a Rokon - too much wasted talent. Selectors, coaches like them too much over the span of this decade. Also, I wouldn't rule out politics out of this. They're too talented to be left out and too under-achiever to perform for the team.

Junaid is the only btsmn left to come for the 2nd test.
I say drop pagla Nafees before The Fool.
Nafees is no more a team man but a complet stranger, his body language, technique & mental condition everything sucks.

There's hope!

A few hard decisions need to be taken. Mohammad Ashraful has played 51 Tests. How many is too many for him? The other day Akram Khan, a former Bangladesh captain, offered a hint. "We have been forced to stick with him because there aren't enough senior players around. We have had good players like Raqibul, Tamim and Shakib come in and they are established players now. But we don't have too many senior players, so we have been forced to stick with Ashraful. Obviously, if he doesn't score consistently now, we will have to think again."
