South African Vincent Barnes likely to become the new Head Coach, final decision to be taken on 4th June!
South Africa's Assistant Coach Vincent Barnes is all set to take over as our new head coach, formal announcement to be made on the 4th of June. He has been the assistant coach of SA since 2003. He is the former head coach of SA A and SA U-19 and was also in the shortlist of CSA to become their next head coach. (Source: TV News)

Not a bad decision in my opinion. The guy was a head coach at the A team level which is very good. Also coached the U19 level and the SA U19s are always tough group to beat. Let's hope he's a good strategist and motivator. He's gonna coach a very crucial time in our cricket. So lots of pressure on him. Wish him the best of luck.

we need specialized batting coach. A bowling head coach is very very good option. Hope we will get him. He was also bowling coach of south Africa. Hope he will a more positive minded.

I can only hope the BCB have thought this through and are making an informed choice. I also hope that his expectations of Bangladesh cricket matches those of the BCB and the fans.
So if we do get him as head coach who should we get as batting coach? Lara's name was doing the rounds a few days earlier and he has served as batting consultant for Zimbabwe. Ganguly? Or someone low profile?

Oh, seems like a good candidate. Read his interview a while back, and his approach to the game really impressed me. Seems like the perfect no-nonsense guy we need.

Why go out of our way and contact him and ask he wants to be our head coach? Why not hire from the list of guys who are already expressing interest?
