My XI for this would be:
1) Tamim
2) Kayes
3) Sir
4) Shakib
5) Alok/Riyad
6) Riyad/Alok
7) Mushy
8) Nasir
9) Sunny
10) Rubel
11) Nazmul
That gives us long batting line up upto number 9...Also gives 7 bowlers; 2 seamers, 2 SLA, 2 OS, 1 LS and ofcourse Dusraful

Will they finally take Nazmul seriously? His style of bowling is quite well suited for T20's on these slow low battle fields.

Nafees? Seriously, after seeing him these past few practice matches, I would think the ICL could have had a better influence.

Hmm.. no Kapali in ya t20 team, even after he scored 55 or someting off 36 balls and did pretty well in the other practice match agains WI where he scored 44runs off 51 or 56 balls.. least give the poor guy a chance at t20 format to play for the BD national team

Unfortunatley, I dont think our board has the patience with Alok, Jahirul, Sajidul, Robin, Dhiman, Rasel like players.. and especially for Alok, who will be chopped immediately if he doesnt perform and score more than 30 runs( apparently that's our standard)..

Time and again Alok has proved that T20 is his "thing". It would be very unwise to play him for a match or two in between and chop him immediately after poor show. He should be given an extended run in T20s.
As far as ODIs are concerned, We going to need someone to take care of the powerplays. And i think Alok and nasir makes a deadly pair for that 5 overs. We have to wait and see if Alok can carry his T20 goodness to ODIs as well, given that he is performing in T20s. If he is not, we have other options.
what I would hate most though is having to see Mahmudullah and Naeem coming out to bat during the 35-40 over powerplay. It would be downright stupid.

If we win the toss then we should bat 1st and as Shakib says, target 150-160. I think 140 could be enough also. Imrul's gotta take every chance and hit as many boundaries as he can and then in the mean time, give as much strike to Tamim whenever possible. That's been a huge problem for him. He defends with a dead bat while Tamim is waiting to get on strike on the other end and loses the momentum. And then Ash, Shakib and Alok should just bat smartly but of course, be more aggressive as usual.
As for the bowling, making early breakthroughs are very crucial. Rubel's gotta look to take wickets but must be careful to bowl it short. I'm usually against this, but bringing Razzak in to open isn't a bad idea. Maybe he can get a wicket early.
I believe it will be a close game overall. The key is not to panic when batting and also let our spinners work their magic against the Windies as their inexperience towards spin could be a problem for them.

It's a ticket fcs. What you expect it to be magazine gloss or laminated or something? Ticket is fine and if offstump wants to rejoice, why be a buzzkill?

congrats offstump on your ticket purchase. I wish i had the opportunity to go.
mirpur drainage system is superb so i think t-20 er jonne shomoi ber kora jaabe even if it rains
I hope our batters will go into this game with a game plan. Over the years I have never seen any sort of game plan in action from our team be it targetting specific bowlers, taking power play early, using certains fields for specific opposition batters etc. T-20 was never about mindless slogging... its about controlled hitting and taking calculated risks. I hope some of the boys watched the semi final games in Champions league to understand what controlled hitting is all about.
Out of all our batsman Alok seems to atleast have a strategy to play out a few balls before going for the big shots. I hope he can pass this message to our most important player Shakib who swung his bat like a school kid during Kolkata's games. We need to to have a solid start for once from our openers. If Tamim bats till the 15th over... we will surely have a defendable total. Kayes needs to negotiate the pace bowling and rotate strike and same goes for Naeem and Mahmudullah. If we lay a platform like 75/1 after 10 overs then with the hitting ability of Alok, Ash, Nasir we can get another 80-85 runs in the last 10 with the remaining wickets... which will get us to the desired total.
