Your BanglaCricket XI
Lets have some fun.
I will set up an individual poll for who should be the opening batsmen for Bangladesh, no. 3 batsmen, no. 4 batsmen etc. From this everyone will have an opinion on who should be in the Bangladesh Cricket team. At the end we will have a BanglaCricket XI.
This team is for ODI's.
Every poll we will have 1 week to vote. After that one week whoever gets voted the most gets the spot in the team.
This is the mother thread

Well i guess it could be for an overall team since its a BanglaCricket XI but if it gets to confusing then we should just do it for ODI since we are more successful in that format.
ODI's it is then.

Ive decided to put the bowling poll soon so that we can speed up the BanglaCricket XI team selections.
We have to decide how many spinners/pacers will be in the specialist bowling department for Bangladesh. (e.g. 2 specialist spinners & 2 specialist pacers, 1 specialist spinner & 3 speciliast pacers or 3 specialist spinners and 1 pacer etc.)
This is basically the last 4 positions in the batting lineup. (no. 8, no. 9, no. 10 and no. 11)
To decide this I will put up a poll and everyone can voice their opinion.

I think we need an analysis on T20 instead of the ODI's since the WCT20 in SL is round the corner.

That is a sick idea! I'm all in. In the end it would be awesome to have a BC XI paraded around to the rest of the tiger community. I will do my best to ensure Muhfiq's not in the team. Give me Anamul, Jaharul or Dhiman please.

Yeah someone finally who is excited about this!
I hope at the end we can really express this 'BanglaCricket XI' as much as possible. Try to make it public and possibly put it on the main page of the BanglaCricket website or something cool like that.
At the end of all the voting process we will truly have a fans XI. It will be a team that the fans want on the field. Im excited to see the outcome.

why is nasir batting at #8? or is this not the batting order since it's your test team and you've got the keeper in the #2 spot....shuvagata at #7 is a bit of a waste to isn't it.....#7 should definitely be an allrounder and in tests you can't have bits a pieces player as an allrounder they've genuinely got to be an allrounder imo unless they can make it with just one suit in which they should take a specialist spot not the allrounder spot....
who is shaujib btw? also 2 pacers in a test team is a bit risky imo, need 3 pacers or 2 pacers and a pace allrounder....

^^Have to agree with Gowza. We need allrounders at no. 7 and/or no. 8. In test matches there should definitely be 3 pacers. If only 2 pacers play then they will both get fatiqued quickly so sharing the workload will ease the stress. And plus it will add more variety.
This would be a reasonable ODI team IMO
1. Tamim
2. Imrul/Anamul
3. Jahurul/Anamul
4. Shakib
5. Mushfiq
6. Mahmudullah
7. Nasir
8. Mashrafe
9. Razzak
10. Nazmul
11. Rubel
Nasir should be promoted up the order depending on match situation

And the Test team
1. Tamim
2. Nazim
3. Anamul
4. Shakib
5. Mushfiq
6. Nasir
7. Mahmudullah
8. Elias Sunny/Enamul Haque Jnr
9. Shafiul/Abul Hasan/Abul Jayed
10. Nazmul
11. Rubel
I didnt put Mashrafe in the team because he isnt quite ready for tests IMO. I dont want him to risk injuries in the longer format of the game. It would be best if he focuses entirely on ODI's so we can ensure he will perform well in that particular format.
I wouldnt want to risk another injury from Mashrafe. I will absolutely lose it if he does.

i'd prefer nasir at #6 no matter what, lose riyad unless he can make it as a #3 or #4. what is sabbir like with his leggy's? no doubt he can bat the #7 spot but he needs to be capable enough with the ballto hold an allrounder spot, otherwise look at other allrounders like zia or alaudin or other spin allrounders like mahmudul.....but we need someone who can hit big balls from the start of their innings and contribute decently with the ball for at least a few overs.

Can you give a breakdown of all the positions you will be polling for?
i.e.
2 - openers (one poll)
# 3 - one poll
1 specialist spinner (one poll)
If we know in advance the the positions you will be polling for, picking one for one position and saving the other for the other is an option.

Yeah sure. Sorry i shouldve mentioned it earlier.
2 openers (one poll)
number of specialist spinners/pacers (one poll)
no. 3 batsmen (one poll)
1 specialist spinner (one poll)
no. 4 batsmen (one poll)
3 specialist pacers (one poll)
no. 5 batsmen (one poll)
Sort out the batting positions for the specialist spinner/pacers (one poll)
no. 6 batsmen (one poll)
no. 7 batsmen (one poll)
who should be wicket keeper? (one poll)
who should be captain? (one poll)
If you think i should change the method of the polling then im happy to take your advice.
