Doubtful about the source. Who took the interview? How Tamim knows certainly that he would play? Let's assume, Tamim gave the interview. But, see the reality. Clarke joined the team, and he will play. Smith is an automatic choice. Jesse Ryder wasn't dropped when he was in poor form, he got a MoM award and giving Pune a good start, beside Ganguly praised him a lot. So, Pune has 3 foreign batsmen in Clarke, Jesse and Smith. Pune must want to take a bowler for the rest of the slots in the like of either Alonso Thomas or Anjelo Mathews or Marlon Samuels or Luke Wright.

Spoke our mind
Dadas’ Dadagiri In IPL Cricket
Author: A Mohit
Published: April 29, 2012 at 5:44 am
As Indian cricket is in demise, so is their dadagiri (big brotherly demeanor) soaring. In the era of gentle men’s cricket in India, Kapil Dev, one of the perfect gentle men of the game, first showed what aggression was in cricket and brought team India in the fore front of the champions of nations. Where Dev left, the Dada of Indian cricket, Sourav Ganguly of West Bengal began. He is the one who transformed the “softly, gentlemanly” Indian cricketers as a team of mean fighting machine. Under his leadership team India became world beaters and in the process earned love and respect of 140 million Bangladeshis, as he is a fellow Bangali. Today “Dada” is the most hated man in Bangladesh.
After being unceremoniously ousted from IPL last season, Ganguly was given a lifeline this year when he was bought by Pune Warrior, and was asked to captain the team. Pune had also bought Tamim Iqbal, the only world class batsman Bangladesh has produced so far. Tamim came to IPL with 4 consecutive half centuries in Asia Cup—one of them was against India. Pune is presently languishing in the sixth place out of nine, after crossing their half-way mark in the tournament, and they have not played Tamim in a single match so far. Bangladeshi cricket lovers blame Sourav for that.
If omission of Tamim is a surprise, perhaps much greater surprise is continuing cold shoulder to Shakib Al Hasan by KKR, the home team of Kolkata. Shakib is the number one cricketer in the ICC ranking of all rounders in test cricket, there is no Indian in that list of the top ten. Shakib is also the number one cricketer in the ICC ranking of all rounders in ODI cricket, the only Indian in that list is R Jadega, in the 10th position. Shakib is also the number eight cricketer in the ICC ranking of all bowlers in the ODI ranking, the only Indian in the list is R Ashwin in the sixth place. Yet, Shakib did not find a place in the first two games that KKR played and lost.
After those two defeats, there was so much buzz in the media about Shakib’s omission that he was picked up for the next match which the KKR won, and Shakib contributed with two crucial wickets. In the next match Shakib was the man-of-the-match and KKR won again. In the following game KKR lost, and Shakib was out to a rush shot scoring only four runs. Although he had taken a wicket, he was not picked after that match, and several test discards were selected consistently ahead of him, some of whom had repeatedly failed.
The glaring omission of Shakib, the heart-throb of every Bangladeshi is perceived as an insult by 160 million (the current population of Bangladesh) people. Perhaps they should urge the tigers to stay away from the IPL.

Jeses Ryder is sick and left at Pune while the match will be played in Deccan's field. So, Tamim had a chance. Negative is, Clarke joined the team and might take the place of Jesse.

Of course Clarke would get the place of Ryder.. Why would they choose Tamim over Clarke?? It's all about the big names..

If Clarke, Smith & Samuels play in the XI, the fourth international could well be a bowler. Pune's local bowlers havent done very well in last few games. Ryder being sick doesn't help Tamim much.

IDK what you are talking about. Clarke dated that Oz model.
IMO, she is fugly. IDK what's the big deal.
In seriousness, Clarke's still got a better T20 stats that Tamim.
