I think there was 4 overs left on the 5th day and Aus needed only 1 wicket. At the end Aus got rid of Smith with 10 balls left.

Why should they listen..? They play their game... they say to themselves "Keep playing your game and don't bother about what the team needs" ... That's how selflessly they throw away their wickets..

After winning the toss anf batting first, SA forgot how to bat: currently on 103-6

This Faf is made of titanium. Him alone denied Australia the victory in Adelaide. Looks like he has something in mind for Perth as well.
On another note, with a totally different pace attack from the previous test Australia had brought down SA to 103-6. Shows really good fast bowling depth. There are at least 4-5 guys knocking on the national team door with better domestic records than Hastings, Johnson and Hazelwood. Only if there were as many top quality batsmen and spinners.

SA bowlers are cranking it up. 225 seems to be a high score now.

Ponting and Clarke in the middle at them moment. These two need to survive this adverse situation and then go on to build a big partnership. Both are capable. Both are motivated. How much more meaningful will the 42nd Ricky Ponting test hundred be under these circumstances! Cricket drama at its best.

Punter gone for paltry four in his swan song match.

Australia reeling at 47/6... so much for Punter's farewell test.
Steyn is just.... hmm...there is actually nothing left to say..

This is extraordinary bowling from Steyn and Philander with Morkel still to make his mark, and their first innings total of 225 is looking very good right now.
51-6 with Ponting and Clarke gone. I wonder how long Wade would survive.

Wade's fighting back as Petersen is introduced into the attack. Good news for Australia until Steyn returns. Maybe the wicket's getting a bit better for batting now.

Morkel's increased hostility pays off and he gets Hussey edging straight to his captain.

Wade gets to his test with a huge off of Petersen.

Gotta love Wade's positive intent. You'll always find an Aussie who plays the way cricket ought to be played no matter what the situation.

I'm happy that they selected Wade ahead of Haddin. Very positive and aggressive player who is going to get only better as he plays more matches. Still very young as well
