apparently it's the tied record for a bilateral series, the other bloke did it in 7 matches though and mishra in 5.

I'm a big supporter of Rahane so hope he makes runs this match, have to say I'm disappointed with pujara's performance.

Yeah didn't impress here but I don't think rohit has secured his spot so pujara could still get more chances.

A bit surprised about Pujara opening instead of Rahane. The no. 2 position would've made sense for Pujara imho. Feel bad for Rasool, the only player not getting a shot at this series.

Zim's bowling in this series has been decent enough, but the batting was disappointing at least, considering they have some good talented players in the side.

You mean no.3? I thought pujara was an opener in list A

Actually I meant no. 4 or 2 down (mixed it). He's a middle order batsman for his Ranji team Saurashtra. Since he's not the kind of batsman who likes to score in boundaries and in fact likes to build his innings, I think that position would've been more suited for him.

Probably, he has a very good list A record so obviously knows how to bat in that position.

Zimbabwe v India at Harare - Jul 26, 2013

Zimbabwe v India at Harare - Jul 24, 2013
India won by 6 wickets (with 31 balls remaining)

Not one ODI was even close, very disappointing since Zimbos are the home team. I thought they have improved after their series vs BD but it seems either we play badly there or they only show up for series vs BD.

well a big problem for them is that all their good players leave to live somewhere else, recently news has broken that craig irvine has left zimbabwe, i think to go live in ireland. sean irvine is a good player over in england, gary balanace is a great player, murray goodwin, anthony ireland etc. zimbabwe is a small country, these losses would be big for any country but even bigger for a small one like zimbabwe.

So are Zimbabwe only good when they take on Bangladesh? There was absolutely no fighting spirit this series. Not even a quarter of what they displayed against Bangladesh. Or maybe they are missing the Mangongo effect.
