i know shabbir can bat a bit but if you want a leggy why not nur? he's not a complete mug with the bat either. the thing with shabbir is he's very inconsistent with the bat and doesn't really bowl much (though seems to take wickets when he does so really should bowl more often).

Agree Isnu. Plus t20 wc is around the corner. Shabbir would be much more useful in t20 than Riyad wnd nyeem any given day.

but I know they will stick to nayeem and Riyad for t20 too ahead of Shabbir nd Zia

Unfortunately, it is difficult to replace the #1 all-rounder in the world. The team should be allowed to pick two players for Shakib! If we want variation, Nur might be a good choice. But, the best non-Shakib SLA right now might be Enam. Not at all happy with Sunny's inclusion. No need to carry dead weights (or one-trick pony) in the team.

Dunno why all the hatred about Elias. He was given 4 matches for ODI and T20 and already he is being poorly evaluated. He is still one of the prime SLAs for domestics. Even the recent DPL, his performance has been above average.

For his international ODI matches, he performed 2 out of 4 of them. He even performed well against Pakistan who is much better at playing spin.

True he is no better than Raj and Enam but dont think he is any less than both of them.

I'm not very big on Elias but why is there so much love for Enamul? It seems people always beg for this guy every single tour. I remember I wanted him also but when I saw him in the Zimbabwe Test, I realized he's just another SLA. He averaged just a 59 against a Zimbabwe attack that's supposed to be the worst against spin. Also look at both Enamul and Elias's stats. They both have roughly the same stats. Elias actually has a much better SR compared to Enamul in Tests.

Again I'm not big on Elias but I'm not big on Enamul either but I don't get how Elias is a "deadwood" whereas Enamul is a "superstar" that's just unlucky to get more chances. Double standards anyone? I've been talking up to have Noor called up but since it seems the selectors want to get someone in with recent A team experience, they probably wanted to go with the safer selection, hence Elias got the nod.

I wish Arafat Sunny was selected instead. He has had good economy and strike rate in BPL & domestic

Arafat will have to wait for Raj, Sunny, Sajib, Sanjamul, Nur before getting a chance.

Do we need another spinner in the team? If he need another spinner, he can use Naeem, who is already in the team.

Naeem would be an off spin option... Sunny is SLA.

Raj... flopped the whole test series, if he flops second ODI than it wont be harsh to try another SLA
