Even in Hindi Match point all were saying "Banning two such important players from the squad especially in bowling sector in middle of the tournament was UNFAIR. Bangladesh really looked unmotivated"
Wasim was very critical of Mithuns laughing after missing the catch. "Who laughs like that after missing an important catch!

That miss catch. Player didn't look like going catch that ball at any time. He was more to show that he is trying to take the catch and mash cowardly moving forward.

I think it was a lack of planning and effort towards the Aussies.
If I was the coach, I would have promoted either riyad or Mash to open the batting.
The elements of surprise. Have to take advantage of the powerplay...this is margin of error is very small..time for settling in is by dot balls is out the window...

Thank you and senman (senman mentioned earlier how he wanted to go to the stadium to support the tigers against NZ) for all your support, we really appreciate it we really do.

We need more fans like nightman and senman here, trolls take note and learn. They don't come here to poke fun and don't get nasty things said in return

It was an eight man team - and still could sniff a win.

Never ever been so disappointed on Mash, no real efforts shown by him to defend the total even though Australia were giving him chances. Never seen his body language like this I am sure it can't be because of Taskin & Sunny but probably for something else that we may be not be aware of. I hope he & his team bounce back in the next game though. Best of luck

WHY
Did Mashrafe only bowl one over ?
Did Al-Amin bowl only 2 overs ?
Did Saqlain bowl 3.5 overs ?
Was Hom taken in the team ? Have we forgotten about Nasir ?
Was Mithun taken in the team ?

Beautiful stroke play by Riyad and Mushy. No slogging or poor attempts at power-hitting or other high-risk aerial shots. And all proper cricketing shots. Kholi-esque. That's how you bat in T20.

Perhaps Riyad at #6 and Mushy at #7 is a good idea. The two brothers in law seem to work well together.

They should play at 5 and 6, not 6 and 7.
It was odd to see how demoralized the captain and the rest of the team were after the Taskin+Sunny bans. They should've used the ridiculous mid-tournament ruling to motivate them, not bring them down, esp to that extent.

You have to understand that the guy was playing first class match with a red ball in rajshahi couple days back.. had to travel to dhaka by bus and than took the flight to bangalore 24 hr before the match. With no practise in a new environment he is bound to fail...

Disagree little bit. He single Handley cost us the game. His 3rd over was one of the worst in this situation in conjunction with mash poor field placement. Razzak could do much better. Tight bowling from a sla to those huffy puffy aussie batsmaen could make a difference.

Did Al-Amin bowl only 2 overs ? True. I think only spin can destroy aussie in this situation so mash opted to continue. Plus amin leaked runs.
Did Saqlain bowl 3.5 overs ? Should not give his last over at least. Again sla vs aussie always a good choice.
Was Hom taken in the team ? Utility player. Power hitter. Didn't bowl bad. He should come later though. That 6 and 4 were demonstrated his hitting ability.
Have we forgotten about Nasir ? He is a below par t20 par. We ve better choice.
Was Mithun taken in the team ? You mean last night?no choice. He didn't do too bad though.

I disagree with Tonmoy too. I saw Saqlain's bowling in BPL (when he did play; he wasn't good enough to start in most games). Looked a very ordinary bowler. Didn't even bowl his full quota in the games he played in. He shouldn't be in contention for the NT. Taijul and Mosharraf were actually good and were much better. Arafat was better too. Taijul was the best BDeshi spinner.

I was too upset to see the match presentations as it was 2 AM in the midnight already, so I just went to bed.
Just watched it now, and my observations:
1) Mash had his head down and looked upset... Still.
2) Did Mash just say "Mahmudullah played very well, so did Shakib, and Mithun Ali played really well."
I reckon he meant to say Mustafiz, but that was a slip of the tongue.

I like how humble Steve Smith is, quite the opposite of Dhoni. In both the games Smith applauded the Bangladeshi and New Zealander bowlers in the presentations.
While Dhoni rarely does this, always saying "our batting/ bowling was bad, hence we lost."

Apart from 1 of the new spinners, and Shakib on occasions,Bangladesh's attack on the whole was quite good,we we're lucky to get home to be honest,it was shoddy batsmenship.

Its the trend with Desi captains, we are the worst of the lot though.
