So Smith's captaincy in the first match was a one time thing?

Worse bpl ever. They sold rights to Star Gold in UK. The quality is worse than Channel 9. If they didnt sell the rights. We could have watched GTV live on youtube in better hd quality.

Khulna Top order consists of Stirling, Jahurul Islam and Junaed Siddique . It's going to be a long tournament for them

Joke of a tournament... I highly doubt whether we'll even get 1/5 ratio of closely contested matches.

KT should have had Mashrafe. It would have balanced things if Mash and even players like Anamul Hque, Samsur rahman playing for KT. Their both international and local looks so weak

Am out dont think I’ll be following any more till it moves to SICS. So many two digits scores in the first round of games, not good at all.

Haha. I haven't seen any match yet. Is the quality that bad? Ctg pitch is low. But I have my hopes high for Sylhet phase.
If you play that many back to back matches in the same few pitches you are bound to have such scores.

Is it the pitch or the players who are responsible for such scores, on one side the other team wasn't having as much difficulty scoring a 100,
if it was the pitch even 80 should not be this easy to chase down. Khulna is a very poorly made team so they are going to throw some more sub 100 scores

Comilla's Top 7 --
Tamim
Evin Lewis
Kayes
Steven Smith
Shoaib Malik
Anamul
Afridi
--
that's a more than decent batting line up. In fact it is quite formidable with Lewis/Smith/Malik/Afridi. Nothing can justify them scoring 63.

From the first day it seemed like it was going to be no different than the previous editions with the quality of the pitches

Decent line up like Comilla (whose top 7 you posted above) can have off days even after having players like Lewis and Smith , I am talking about future matches where I am expecting Khulna to continue the trend of scoring less than 100. Lot of people will agree the Khulna XI is weak. But Comilla will bounce back.

I thought they look to have one of the best batting side in the tournament. The Bangladeshi players arent' jodu modu either... they are proven quality players.
when mashrafee takes 4 wickets int20 match in less than 4 overs, u know something aint right...
yes it's comilla batting not khulna. Khulna as rightly pointed out is quiet a poorly formed team.

International teams when they visit us dont really perform well with the bat in our conditions. You cant expect these international players to all perform from day 1. On the other hand, our local players should be performing but our batsmen in general are possibly the worst in the world for T20s.

yeah my bad it was Comilla. corrected it. still boggles me how they got bundled out for 63. When Shafiul has a figure of 2-0-8-2 then there is something very concerning.
Khulna's batting line up is pathetic.
Stirling, Junaid Sid, Jahurul, Riyad, Shanto, Ariful, David Wiese, Taijul. They were lucky to score 80+.

Bpl should be disbanded
It's a complete embarrassment of a league
The broadcasting is horrendous, the pitches are dead slow, just terrible all round, can't even watch it in the UK, unless you have subscription to some Indian bs

LoL, why it should be disbanded if someone in an island fails to watch it? Bopara’s wife did not complain.

Chittagong Vikings vs Sylhet Sixers
Ashraful's second go tonight...
Also want to see Nasir picked for the Sixers.
People these days have agreed that they want to focus more on those guys who were discarded rather than kids.
Well then, no fall has been more spectacular than that of Nasir Hossain (with the exception of the Kawran Bazar Assassin himself Ash)
So want to see Nasir in all the big games, and wish the best for him that one day he can claw his way back to the national side.
