Loss to WAPDA: Giving Whatmore some food for thought
And also to the players.
Rajin scored highest 61
Shahriar scored 55
Salehin (I don't know who this Salehin guy is) scored 30
Hannan scored 25
BD 'A' total 221 for 9 wickets in 50 overs
WAPDA reached the target 222 for the loss of only 3 wickets in 45.1 overs.
Well at least, we won't cry out loud when the real BD 'A' team will to the other opposing teams.
By the way, somebody was saying in another thread that the team that will replace the current BD 'A' team are players of BD 'B' team. I just figured that those players are the real / actual 'A' team players, not the current BD 'A' team that is playing in these matches against WAPDA. The current BD 'A' team has 7 or 8 national players who were either supposed to rest or play the national league at home.
The following players who are definitely not 'A' team players:-
1) Mushfique - who is out injured, but was in the original list of the 'A' players
2) Alok Kapali - same as above
3) Hannan Sarkar
4) Rajin Saleh
The following players are national players, but as they were out of form or out of touch from cricket, so they are getting a definite chance to get into the national team:-
1) Shahriar Hossain
2) Mohammad Ashraful
The following players are national players, but they usually go with the team, but do not get chances to get into the final eleven because of other top players (like always be the 13th or the 14th member of the team):-
1) Anwar Hossain Munir
Now the following are the real 'A' team players who are in the original list and the first leg of the tour:-
1) Tareq Aziz
2) Alamgir Kabir
3) Ehsanul Haque
4) Mazharul Haque
5) Md. Selim (wk)
6) Jamal Uddin Ahmed
7) Monjurul Islam Rana

our second best team is loosing league matches...isn\'t it scary?
I am just wondering what will we do with int'l level teams if we loose in this margin with a league team..though i know these teams are also strong

Our only glitter of hope is that Australia lost to one of the county teams in thier last tour of England.

Losing to WAPDA is not totally unexpected -
our first 11 may be a few years behind their equivalents, but our next 90 or so are lagging considerably more compared to their equivalents.
