"The Open"
The british open is going on. Tiger is leading. Els, Dimarco and Goosen on his heels. loved it when heard Harrington and Love III would not make the weekend cut.
Great stuff:
Jim Furyk, in one hole he was in one of those green side bunkers. Used a putter to hit another bunker and role it to seven feet of the cup. Made his par.
Tiger, finishing the long par 5 with an eagle.
I am proud of Duval. He will make the cut with sitting at -4.
Shaping up to be a great weekend.

Emotional he was. Remembering his dad in the middle of the 18th green, hugging his caddy. That was the stuff I had been waiting for. Tiger went on to win the British Open by two strokes at 18 under. Congratulations!! This is Tiger's 11 major. Tied with Walter Hagen. Seven to go. This guy has concentration I guess more than Gavaskar or Hanif Mohammad. His ability to block out everything, especially the flashing the lightbulbs after his every swing is simply unbelievable. A true Champion.
Special props to DiMarco (Lost his mother two weeks back) trying to push Tiger.

I didnot wanted to open up just another thread on Tiger.
He just won the Buick open 06 which was his 50th tour victory. and he is only 30. A prime age for a golfer is in his mid 30's. Mind boggling. Congrates to Tiger and wish he gets the PGA this year.

Anybody willing to pick somebody else but Tiger tommorow, to win the PGA? I think not, #12 is almost home for Tiger, and he's doing all of this after missing his first cut ever in a major. You'd think he'd go downhill after the missing the cut @ the U.S Open but Golf is about to enter another period of Tiger domination.

cricman,
as you said total domination. I have been watching golf on TV for 15+ years. never saw anyone to DOMINATE the field like Tiger. Simply unbelievable stuff. He is on a higher level than the rest of the field. Doing this almost without using the driver is unthinkable. End of Mickelson and Singh. Els, Gooson may compete in future few majors. But from now on it would Tiger verses the courses, can he reach 20 under? The rest of the field is full of young players. They have lot of catching up to do.
Congrates Tiger!!

The catch was on the "+" sign. That satisfies the slower part which you are impling.

Thats 4 win in a row and the record is 11, I can see Tiger running the table all the way to Masters to get to 11 or beyond. I think Tiger's personal best is 6 in a row .

Nerve raking! I watched the drama as it unfolded. He grinded it out. The playoffs was not on the cards. Tigers bogey on par 5, and Cinks amazing birdie on 17 (20+ feet) made that happen.
Tiger twice made a run with six consecutive tournaments in his PGA career. 11 Naah I dont think so. Todays golf is so different, the competition is too tight. I am sure he will start to concentrate more on Majors from now on. Another stat was yesterday it was Tigers exact 10 years at PGA. 10 years 52 tournaments. Tieing up Byron Nelson (Who had the 11 in a row and 17 I believe in 1945). That record is safe forever I believe. Even Tiger can't get close.

5 in a row!! Begining 3 shot behind Vijay in the last round finishing 2 shot ahead with a par on par 5 is simply class and determination. Not that Vijay played bad, he finished 3 under for the day but Tiger was on fire 8 under for the day. We are witnessing history.
Tiger wins the "Deutsche Bank - 2006." What a reply for missing the cut in a Major. Now five tournament wins in a row. Mickelson who?
