To me, vision is the single biggest problem about our cricket. The concerned persons don't have the right vision to dream and combine those dreams with reality to turn into success. Even top-most management doesn't have the vision to hire right people to work for BCB. All other problems are simply the outcome of lack of vision.

If they were not politically associated,, the last board was much better. I would now not hesitate to say that Arafat Rahman was a better game developer than who ever is in charge now. Atleast he used his power and family name to do something.. coaches like Richard Mccinnes, part time coach of Aaqib Javed/Owen Matau/Javed Miandad, started high-performance squad, flourished the age based teams... This board by Major Chameli is pretty much run by Lipu,, who BTW was a failed captain himself. The selection panel consists of a Rafiq whom very few respects as a successful bowler.. The manager Heera is totally out of touch is COMPLETELY USELESS ... the list goes on.
I wish we had a Savior..but We dont have a Salahuddin in our cricket. There are Nannu/Akram/Bulbul/Bashar/Sujan.. but none of them have the same stature as Salahuddin. And besides,, Salahuddin has the best team around him with Salam, Aslam, Badol Roy, Babul.. And the BCB has Lipu, Shakil, Lipu, Lipu, and Lipu...

BCB, wake up!
what are you people doing at BCB now, at this very moment?
what did you do yesterday?
we demand answers and report!
we need a third party overseer for BCB's every move, every action(or lack of it), seriously!
BCB, NOW, get to work, or step down!!!!!!
where are the bouncy pitches?
where are the new additional gyms?
where is sylhet cricket ground?
got sick of hearing everyday from english folks saying,"you would think more good cricketers would come out of a 150 mil pool of people!" BCB, we got one bowling machine fro 150 mil people? you have got to be kidding!
we demand nine more bowling machines all over the country in next two months!!!!!! 6 more decent quality gyms all over the country in next six months!
BCB, slap, salp, wake up!

bcb should start training bd boys (graam banglar damal chelera) to bowl on flood water! if they can learn to bowl 50 miles an hour on wet/liquid surface, Inshallah, they will bowl 200 miles per hour on dry pitch - styrn, johnson, lee, malinga, broad, bravo, gul will look like slow left/right armer to bd under-15 school boys then!
we should train to play under water! sub-marine cricket! only after getting ten wickets and scoring a thirty deep under water, they should be allowed to come up to the surface and play in open air! you will see the difference, Inshallah!
young bd batsmen should bat with 70-80 extra pounds strapped on them! we will see result, Inshallah!
batsmen should be played on tilted hilly pitch more than 45 degree angle! golf ball should be shot at them 250 miles hour! face those balls from the hilltop above!
pace bowler should practice bowling with 50-60 extra lbds strapped on them!
Inshallah, we will see improvement!
i think amake roja-e dhorse!

Yes, if we have a Cricket passionate individual from one of the big poly parties in BD, it may serve us better, actually.
Saber Hossain had a great vision
Seems like Arafat Rahman was pretty good in execution.
We want people who are not fearful..and unfortunately, no professional in BD is so.

We need a savior for Bangladesh cricket in the form of a top level organizer. I am sorry to say I don't see anyone like that right now.

bouncy pitches
Ok people realize one thing. We can't have fast and bouncy pitches in Bangladesh. The soil conditions are different. Get over it. So although I agree with most of what this post is saying, I dont' agree with the bouncy pitch comment.

Or are people talking about one constructed with whatever resource its takes, for the national team to use only?

wake up call #7
wake up BCB!
by the way, sporty pitches are created with man-made effort. the local soil condition can be vastly different than a pitch in question or even the whole ground facility which may be totally exotic in nature!
from an urabn design/landscape architecture point of view!

With money it won't be a problem at all. You even can prepare the wicket in one place and place it to another (yes, the Australians have done it on few occasions). BCB has huge amount of money. So fast and bouncy wicket preparation doesn't require much than the will to do it.

most of the members in BCB are just for money.. nothing besides that..we all know what the lobi did. BCB is full of dhanda khors.

Our selectors should be fired. Gazi Ashraf Lipu made our Bangladesh team worse. He is as useless as useless can be.

I liked Mijan bhai's idea of show cause to BCB. Fans have the right to do it.
What about creating a thread which will contain our objections about BCB as the fans endorse it? Finally we will send the summery and special portion of the thread to BCB.

GALi alone, what could he do?
I think he has a good understanding of the entire thing, but they have almost 80-100 member Adhoc Committee. That's too much people to agree on something and get moving & meanwhile the BCB fund is being eaten by these termites in multiple unproductive manners.

Siddons had put a lot of pressure on them already. Let's see how the BCB responds to it now.
