Default I am no longer a Bangladesh cricket fan.

Cricket is my greatest love, my greatest passion and when I see these bunch off losers make such a mockery of their talent, it breaks my heart, that is why from now on. I am not a bangladesh cricket fan at all. I am a cricket fan. I am a fan of shakib's bowling, I am a fan of Rakibul's batting.

But i am a cricket fan, not a bangladeshi fan .......no more.

Ashraful and co, dont ever come back to my dad's restaurant and enjoy the food, you are not welcome there.

My only problem is now, getting rid of ashraful's signature off my bat.

Nafi first of all you used double negation in your sentence which is not correct.

Go to your dad's restaurant brother and drink some thing really coooool. Hope it will help you feel like a Bangladeshi fan again.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense. No offence intended.

Nafi mate, we need to face the fact that we suck. Like seriously, we already have terrible batsmen, and an idiotic team management for choosing to bat first on that pitch. It was suicide. Zimbabwe may not have the talent like us, but they sure do have some heart. Something we never have against minnows.

Basically what I'm saying is, I enjoy reading your posts - you have some common sense - something which is lacking in some other members. Losing you would be a big loss. But I'm not surprised about the way you feel. I wish I could feel the same way...

I shall still posts in these boards, but not as a BD fan.

They have to a lot to do fix my heart.

Seriously they have played with my emotions so much, 10x much worse than crazy psycho girlfriends that try to play games. And that is topping something.

Well done Zimbos. Very well done. They showed the standard of BD cricket to the world. No matter how hard it is to swallow, this is the way it had to be choked down the throat. Nothing would be more fitting than a series loss to Zimbos to awaken them up rudely. They deserved to be disgraced.

I am off.

Experienced all these before. Had the strength to get over the feeling of losing to Kenya. I am sure we can also get over this feeling of losing to Zimbabwe soon.

But I am not so sure about Ashraful as the captain or Jamie Siddons as the national team's coach, or the present BCB members. None of these stakeholders will last long enough to see this year through - not if we lose the series to Zimbabwe and continue playing like this.

This thread is depressing. Where's the eternal hope I though we all had? I'm an Aussie and I'll still be a BD fan even after 1 million losses!

Pessimism will get you NOWHERE, in cricket and in general life, all we can do is plow right through all the bad with smiles on our determined faces.

Well said Niv.....

We are going through a very bad time, and we need to come back. As a fan, what we also need is to support and back our team as well. They need it most when they are not doing well or morally down. This is the time to show the spirit of true fan....

And yes.....constructive criticism must also be there....which will eventually help our team to improve.

I will take that decision after the series is over. Because I know how weird this will sound, if they win the next two games I will be happy again :P. SO PLEASE MAKE ME HAPPY BANGLADESH CRICKET TEAM AND ASHRAFUL!

I fully share your sentiments here mate.
Today, I was so peeved off, I opened 2 threads venting my anger at Ash and Siddons for getting us in to this dire situation.
Unfortunately, the Mods did not feel the same anger/despair as I did and deleted my threads and also banned me.
However, it appears that they DO have some sense of understanding and perhaps share my extreme anger and therefor seemed to have reversed their decision to ban me, hence my contribution here.

Not only they are letting down the country by their cavalier batting attitudes, they seemed to be making decisions detrimental to the requirement of the match.

Take today's match.
First they decide to bat 1st on a bowling wicket and then WAIT until all the batsmen are out BEFORE taking the 3rd powerplay. Now, come on, where is the logic in that.

I am convinced that BD management and Ash carry their brains on their backside.

Siddons needs to be given an ultimatum to start performing and Ash needs to be stripped off his captaincy NOW.

look, in times like this, if you are a true human being, you would not chicken out and stand up for your team...

in times like this, your loyalty, devotion to your cause is tested...those who stand firm, patient, one day they get their fruit, which tastes soooo goood! take the /sri Lankan victory about 6 days ago as an example.

Kalpurush bhai told me last year, after i opened a similar thread:

(not the exact quote, but you get the gist...)

Quote:
in every tour, Bangladesh has something spectacular to cheer about and something terrible things happen, we fans just need to be happy about those "spectacular things"
i think Bangladesh did a very good job. Zimbabwe is a great team and last night's match was a great match! i bet you this loss would have not looked so bad if it was against New Zealand, India or Australlia, why are we not willing to admit that Zimbabwe has improved??....!

a true fan supports his team no matter what!

we are human beings we make mistakes, we seem to forget at times our players(including Shakib) are human beings...even teams like Australlia fall now and then, India falls now and then, even Tendulkar, Lara had a bad patch now and then, why should we be any different, just accept it! and move on....

C'mon Nafi bro! Hang in there!

Remember there is always day after the night...ease after the hardship...success after the failure(!).

Patience, my brother!

Disclaimer: These truths might not be applicable to BD batting, though.
