The mute option on my Telly remote comes in handy when Shamim comes on. Him, Athar and Arnold can easily compete for the most annoying commentators going around.

When a 4 is struck, shamim almost uses the word 'delectable' to describe the shot. 90% of the time he uses that word

So by my inaccuracy on the term, the lack of research on Mr. Chowdry's thread, am I in the line of being banned?.
Does the other thread contains the same spelling of his last name?
Bro, I did this to highlight his legendary presence on the microphone.
Just accept it.

Well, Shamim is not a cricket person. The only reason he was there to begin with was, well, we didnt have anyone who could speak English well enough. And frankly, his commentary is to his limits. He will not be able to match even Aamir Sohail or even Ed R. as he does not have a cricket mind and never played cricket. You really can't expect him to match the non-ex-cricketer-commentators likes of Harsha Bhogle etc. He simply doesnt have it and we don't have any other 'brilliant-minded' commentator from Bangladesh to replace him either..
But honestly, what does Athar say? Same old things. Never anything you don't know already..even Pommie Mbangwa can come up something better than him... "You gotto keep the wickets and bat till the end", " Mix caution with aggression " or "Goes down the track, beautiful shot".. I mean he never can come up with anything insightful, brilliant or thought provoking, has he? Yesterday when the other commentator (forgot his name) asked about Mohd. Shahid, " He is a fantastic bowler..where was he? ( Mohammed Shahid), in Bangladesh when the talents are unearthed when they are 18-19 and brought forward for the national team, what happened to him?" Athar, being an ex-selector, didnt even know what to say, he gave a laundry list of pace bowlers who are injured but nothing about Shahid, I guess the best thing Athar came up with to date was, "Bangla-Wash", thats enough I guess..

TV commentary is not like radio commentary.
And that is all I have to say about that.

Shamim should not be at the award ceremony. He looks so unprofessional and unsmart and looks like he just woke up from sleep.

Always predictable from.him. Must have been stuck with or really love words that start with the letter "d"

One thing annoys me the most about Shamim is that he describes every single frame like the viewers are blind or something. He forgets that he's not on the radio where the listeners will have to form a mental image by listening to his extended vocabulary. His long and extended description of what I am already seeing gets on my nerves. Remember Tamim's 100 celebration in the first ODI against PAK where he took off the gloves? His frame by frame commentating was so annoying.
The other commentators say a line or two and take a long pause and then say something short but not Shamim. Athahar is OK in this regard. He doesn't got overboard but love Athahar's patriotism.

Shamim lacks personality and degrades himself. I also don't like Atahar's style but he knows how to maintain his self respect, atleast in the commentary box

Seriously guys, how is our commentator pipeline looking? Any decent prospects? Our current stock is just not up for the international stage
