Unless our stars don't shine, these changes will make little or no effect.

If Aftab and Rajin can bowl full time, then they should have let Anwar sit also and let Shahriar play, we need all the batting help we can.

I am keen to see Taposh outswingers at work. Rajin exclusion was suicidal in my opinion. Rahim should have waited. Aftab, with his flurry of 4s is just telling us he wants to play his "Afridi" in the ODIs.

Suddenly, I feel the need for Rana, the most consistant of our players. He has substantial England experience also. Enamul will probably be a non-factor if he is included.

i would like to see shahadat one more time. he was all over the place at Lord's, but it was definately more a case of nerves than anything else. i am positive he will put on a much more disciplined performance if given another chance.plus, he is a much better long term prospect for our cricket than munir. my pace trio would be mashrafee,taposh and shahadat accompanied by rafique's left arm spinners of course. I would like to see more of aftab too. ash and rajin should also be used if frontline bowlers fail to produce breakthroughs.
rajin could come in at 3 to protect our middle order who all love to play strokes, which might lead to their capitulation again if they come in too early.

the team mantra this test should be just to concentrate on the basics:
batsmen:play late,leave deliveries outside off stump, move back and across and play ball with full face of the bat, eliminate aerial shots,look for singles,partnerships
bowlers: bowl on good length, concentrate on making the batsmen drive on the fron foot,minimize boundary balls etc etc

fielders: hold onto catches!!

these seem the most mundane things...but if u have a close look at our performance at Lord's we messed up on these basics on almost every instance.

The world's weakest test side can afford to leave out their potentially best bowler !

I am staggered ! This is cricket according to formula. Are we saying that if Enamul was playing at Lords his bowling figures would have been worse than 12 overs for 101 runs. So much for "not a spinners wicket." Warney is crying over his cornflakes.
