Default Just one change for 2nd test

They have announced the 12 man team for the 2nd test. Rajib out, Taposh in.

I am shocked to see Enamul not picked. Their plan is to have Rajin as the 12th, unless Taposh is still injured, then Rajin plays.

Looks like taposh will play. Rajin will only play if Mufhfiur Rahim is not able to play due to his fever.

As per BBC, Bangladesh has announced a 13 man squad. Tapash is the new man in.

Unfortunately, Shahadat is still there who should have been replaced by Enamul Jr.

Bangladesh have named a 13-man squad and will make a late decision on 16-year-old batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, who sprained his walking down stairs.

Pace bowler Tapash Baisya is also doubtful with an Achilles injury and Shahadat Hossain replaced him at Lord's but conceded 101 runs in 12 overs.

Coach Dav Whatmore again hit out at critics of his side's Test status.

"We are a full Test match nation. That's where we belong and where we will stay," he said.

But he feels the seamer-friendly conditions at the Riverside will be even more favourable to the England attack.

"Given the weather we have had the pitch might be more difficult to negotiate than Lord's," he admitted.

"The past week has been about ... taking a clear look at the areas we have not done well in, mainly the batting, and attempting to improve.

Hehehe, I was thinking about that They have yet to establish themselves as a reliable source. A few times they were correct in the past, but I wouldn't drink their juice for now.

Actually, I thought the inclusion of Taposh would be the only change in the team as well. Much as we may want it I don't think Enamul would be included.

Mushfiq managed to sprain an ankle walking down the stairs!! Just what we need.

By any chance, was he also carrying Ash in his shoulder and tumbled down the stairs?

Why do players from BD always wearing sandals or flip-flops? The pictures say so. They are donning jackets and sweaters, yet wearing open toed sandals, flip-flops etc. You can easily avoid these sort of niggles and ankle sprains if you wear proper footwear/athletic shoes even when going for a leisurely walk or a stroll. Specially when you are jumping down the stairs to attend breakfast !

It will be a blessing if Rahim does not play. It was a blunder to begin with. Rajin must be included in the batting lineup. If Taposh gets better, he should immediately replace Rajib. Experimentations with the new kids at Lords was a bad idea. They should get back to the core team as soon as possible. Dropping Rajin was astonishing.

Billah, as someone mentioned earlier, Rajin's inclusion will make no difference in the team at all. While I support Taposh's inclusion. He will play if he is fit. But their is no meaning of playing an injured player.

Taposh is almost sure to play... as reported by NTV reporter from the riverside.. unless for any reason his injury gets worse.

Mushfiqur Rahim shouldn't play . He is too young for the test ..atleast Rajin can get 19 runs for Sure ........ get Rajin back in the team .

From DS report-

"This is the second time a Bangladeshi cricketer suffered such an injury after paceman Mashrafee-bin-Mortuza twisted his ankle at Blomfontine before the 2003 World Cup match against West Indies."

Scarry. I hope promising BD players hurting themselves uneccessarily won't turn into a team tradition.

DS reported that Taposh passed the fitness test and he is likely to replace Rajib. I also think that musfiqur Rahim should not play because he is too young and considering his long term potential there is no need to involve him in another humiliating loss and destroyed his confidence.

According Musfiq comments, he was very relaxed in the first innings but in the second innings he was very scared because he relized how famous the bowlers are. There is no need to destroy his confidence now! Even if he ends up scoring 50 runs, i still think that there is a time and place for everything.

.
I agree with you this guy is too young to play the test cricket . Mushfiq made some comments to get back into the team but still need to grow up as a test player ......don't need any more new experiement anymore .....as we had enough at Lords .......... get Rajin back as usual .........

I think Tapash, Rajin orEnamul should be in. Rahim, Shahadat out.

To those who are still going on about Enamul, I guess you will not be convinced by anything.

I say replace Anwar Hossain with Tapash. We are going to lose this test anyway, let's give Shahadat a chance to make amends. He's a better prospect.

I agree that tapash and rajin should play. what about shahriar nafees. he scored a duck, a fifty , 16 and 16 in the warm up matches. (avg 20) he may be better pick than anwar hossian but then again he is not a bowler rather a left handed batsmen. what do you guys think?
