Shakib getting picked or not will depend on his base price..I dont thing any team will spend more than 100k for him..he is a good player to have on bench for 100k or less..

As said, glad BCb limit their players to 2 tournaments.
Decision came after Shakib skipped the S Africa tour.

Bangladesh's Blood Diamond, is jobless.
Hopefully, this shock wakes up other players. You perform or you get out, no dead-beats, driftwoods, slackers, dropkicks, lollygaggers or bludgers. It's that simple.
Children should take this as a prime example. A good life lesson to be fair.
You can't piggyback off past success, you are either in form currently, or you are out. Past heroics mean jack.

IPL, or any other T20 league, hasn't helped his game one iota. He was actually a good T20 player before all this.
Better off focussing on his international career

I think you are reading way too much into this. As it turns out, ALL of the IPL squads have been effectively disbanded following the 10th season of the IPL (i.e. 2017). For the 2018 season, players are allowed to retain a maximum of three players ahead of the auction. KKR retained Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. No one else. Not Trent Boult. Not de Grandhomme. Not Chris Lynn. No Robin Uthappa. Not Yusuf Pathan. Not Chris Woakes. Not Umesh Yadav. Not even captain Gautam Gambhir. So this does not seem to be an indictment of Shakib's T20 abilities or his importance to KKR.

As long Kallis-Gambhir are there, he would be warming the bench most likely unless couple of Foreign starters go down or have assignments.
KP da, recently I have been trying to avoid cheap shots.

Shakib is insurance money for KKR. If Narine goes down ....
But lately his bowling has been in top form in this format. So that would come in to play in KKR retaining him at the end.
Remember, Badre, the #1 bowler in this format didn't get a home last time.

I hope and pray that he does not get picked by any IPL team. I want him to play county. Shakib was at his best after he had played there for 2 seasons.

I watched some highlights of bd v eng in eng where bd won by like 5 runs. Likes of Jahurul, Siddique were all in the team. They all looked way better then what Soumya and Sabbir dish up these days. I digress
Anyways Shakib's bowling back in those days looked so much better. More zip, more flight, and very nice loop. It is not the same anymore. Bowls way too flat for my liking nowadays. Probably due to T20.
How good was Razzak as well. I think he has been a big silent loss for us in ODIs. Such a dangerous bowler when he was in his zone. Basically couldn't score off him.

KKR released Gambhir as well, I am surprised as fcuk, earlier KKR used to participate for the spirit of the tournament lol, Gambhir won them titles, made them formidable within such a short span of time, arguably the best captain in IPL history, this doesn't make no sense.

Razzak and Gazi were piss poor in 2014. hence their demise.

I think both of them were called for chucking, and they never really recovered from that.

razzak was called for chucking in the beginning of his career, he recovered well from that, the 2nd time he was called for chucking he digressed after coming back.
gazi was on decline before he was called for chucking, getting called for chucking was just the final blow in the coffin

shakib and Mustafiz both have base price of 1 crore rupee in the upcoming auction. 1 crore rupee is more than 150K us dollar. I dont think fizz will get any team. shakib will struggle to get team with this price tag. he should have been at most 100K
anyway if these two dont get any team in the long run it'll be better. shakib is already playing across so many t20 leagues. some rest will do him good. Fizz has been in and out with injury. I dont think his body is still strong enough to handle a long tournament like IPL

at that price, they both may get a team imo. Mustafiz though crap now will ride his fame from first year and can easily be bought at base and benched as back up bowler. whoever came up with that base was smart. you don't want to set it too low if you are unlikely to be bid by more than 1 team which may happen to both... and not too high for benched player.
Rashid khan will be one of the highest paid probably and sought after. he coould have set his price at 1 dollars and still be bid up to 6 to 8 hundred k.
I feel sorry for mustafiz, if it wasn't for injury and had his old form was intact he would have been one of the sought after player.... but too bad now.

Didn't BCB make a new rule of two T20 league a player can only participate in a year? Workload should decrease.

For those that thought Shakib won't be playing IPL, it seems Delhi is interested:
