Should be a good series but again no Tests. Haire BCB Watch out for Daniel Bell-Drummond. Very good player. This is the first series the new batch of U19 players will play. Although Anamul and Asif still qualify I don't think they should play this series. They are too good for U19 cricket. Expecting a 6 - 1 victory for us. Should be 5 - 2 at the very least.

I am guessing Sylhet's Abu Jayed and Taskin Ahmed of Dhaka Metro will be leading the pace attack. They've both done well in the NCL this season. Looking forward to see how they get on in this series. I also expect Nurul Hasan, Soumya Sarkar and Liton Kumar Das to be in the squad.

Lions and now U-19, national selectors should focus on these series and attend every match if possible.

Good to see Asif and Anamul in the squad. Who is Al Amin? It can't be the Khulna pacer cuz CI says he's 21 years old.

Wasn't Asif named in the 'A' squad?

Don't see the point of picking Asif, Anamul and Nur. They won't be eligible for the next World Cup and are too good for this level. Is Soumya the captain?

Bcb is so confused. Both Asif and Nur in a team as well as u19 team. I don't mind tbh. The more they play, the better it would be tor the future

Player to watch out for Soumya,TAskin and Jayed along with Asif, Nur and Anamul.

If you want to know why BD stinks in tests, just look at the schedule. No team is playing the longer-version of the game.

I think the BCB is just giving these guys as many chances as possible. Its a good thing. At their age, they should be playing every day if possible.

Ya I don't mind those 3 getting chances. As people are saying the more practice the better. And also the England U19s are pretty good.

Are we sure they won't be eligible for the WC this summer? Asif and Anam turned 19 one day apart just a couple weeks ago. Anyone know the cutoff?

From the rule book:

To compete in the ICC U19 CWC Players from Full Member countries must be
under the age of 19 on the 1st of September before the event takes place and
Players from Associate or Affiliate Member countries must be under the age of 20
on the 1st of September before the event takes place. (For the avoidance of doubt
this means that at midnight (in the country of birth) at the changeover from the
31st August to the 1st of September immediately before the event, players from
Full Member countries must be under the age of 19 and players from Associate
and Affiliate Member countries must be under the age of 20. If Members are
in any further doubt as to the eligibility of a player they should contact ICC
offices as fielding an ineligible player is a serious offence.)

interesting squad, as said i hope it's naeem jr. i thought rubel was too old for u19s? and i think asif, anamul and nur should move on from u19s, no reason for those 3 to still be playing that level imo.

will be interesting to see how taskin ahmed and al amin do.

Asif and Anamul who just turned 19 are both eligible for next World Cup which is before September 2012(I think).

Its defo gotta be both Naeem Islam Jr and Rubel Hossain Jr as well. But according to CI Al Amin is 21. This must be some other Al Amin.
