You're right but that wasn't my point. Phil opened while the rest are higher middle order batsman. Phil Weston had solid technique and played the game based on percentage which Bd players don't. Aside from the obvious issue of not have a lot spots for foreign players, I just don't see how our batsman or bowlers match up to the English players. Based on just skills Bd players don't make it. That's what I was trying to convey.

Is this true? Anyone got a link? How long ago was this? Why did he turn it down? Unless it was due to international commitments, he should've taken it!
