Could Ash have won it for us?

We all know the answer. Even if he scored 16, he would have done it in 26 balls. Even if he gave 19 in his last over, somehow the impact would not have been as great. He is a winner and all he does is win. Even if we needed 7 off the last ball, he would have made the bowler a no ball and hit it for 6.

had he been in place of Nazim we wud have less runs scored but a lot balls left to get that 4 RUNS

But anamul, nafees, kayes, Junaid deserve bettert chances

Actually, I think he would have scored 238 without a ball being bowled. The bowlers would be shaking at his sight and bowl 34 no balls straight, all of which would be hit for six.

I hope selectors don't do anything dramatic like bringing back Ash. Yes, we need to address a couple of areas, like dropping Shahadat and Nazimuddin permanently and deciding what to do with the opening and no. 3 spot. But please no Ash.

nazim r jahiruler cheye r koto kharap khelto...i would give him a spot for no.2 and replace nazim ASAP...Imrul kayes needs to be at no.3...nazim and jahirul both lack the class and nerve required to handle int'l match situations

did any of you know that if you make a list of ashraful's biggest innings and then compare them to the position he played in, you'll see that most of his big scores came when he was played at no. 3? and the innings' were well paced as well... not just go in there and hitting everything he can, but actually taking singles and having a strike rate of 60 or something.. I think Ashraful is meant for that number 3 spot.. do that and problem fixed.. and anyway ashraful has started playing so responsibly from late, he has definitely finally starting to become the rock that he was meant to be.
