Default Did Shane Jurgensen deserve to be Head-Coach?

Is he the luckiest guy ever to get a head-coach role? does his appointment save money for BCB as they don't have to pay much?. what are his creditials and what is his main role as Head-Coach? can you whitewash NZ this time around? many questions.

He is head coach because we couldn't have/keep anyone else.

Shane looks like a good coach for man management, mushy is also a good captain for man management

if you are unifying the team, mushy/shane combo is your dream combo

but technically and tactically they suck

somewhere someone will be very happy.

Coaching isn't the problem. Duncan Fletcher started English cricket's resurgence with 2005 Ashes win and then lost all 8 overseas test as India's coach. Even Dav Whatmore is struggling with Pak team. Lost to Zim, then won against mighty SA, and now bowled out for below 100. BD is no different.

We over hype our bowlers but in reality Tamim, Mushy, Nasir are just decent international players. Only Shakib is top class. This team can only go this far.

Get 1-2 very good fast bowlers. Not excellent like Styen. But Siddle/Bresnan/Junaid Khan type and we will start to win matches.

Dav Whatmore got lucky with Sri Lanka. A LOT of the credit for Sri Lanka's turn-around in the mid nineties should go to the players. They wanted to win the WC REAL bad and had the right attitude. They got sick of being termed minnows, didn't want to lose anymore and wanted to be the best. No, they started believing they NEEDED to be the best, then worked their buttocks off. They made Dav look like a much better coach than he is.

I don't want world class coach's, prefer coach's that have experience of being a Head-Coach. I seriously don't mind it being someone like Waqar or Moin, and if u want someone from outside of Asia then get from English domestic league.. Not Ian pont please

Don't agree with you. We have Dpl, BPL and some first class tournament introduced recently. The structure is there but we don't have sufficient qualified coach's to teach basics to players at domestic levels, plus how can coach help a captain whose brain normally freezes? I have a strong feeling that Nasir will be more attack minded captain or even Anamul Haque, but his poor performance

and all of these are garbage by standard of other teams. Their is always this uncertainity thing looming over these leagues. NCL was arranged last year but this year I don't see NCL being held and with BPL coming I don't see it happening soon

Individual player improvement 0/10
Anamul is still paralyzed waist down
Pace bowlers all suck
Tamim's form has dipped, shak's batting looks horrible

Tactics 0/10
Persisting with the selection of shahadat
Putting anamul in opening position for test cricket
Bowling robiul for 100 overs in two tests

Team unity 10/10

Yup, he was lucky to get the job in the first place and even more lucky to have kept the job after losing a test and an ODI series against Zimbabwe. And now Zimbabwe are ahead of us in the test ranking. Carry on Shane.
