Default Pictures graciously sent by B. Chambers

Mr. Barry Chambers, our Irish friend from CRICKETIRELAND sent the following pictures from Limavady. I, on behalf of banglacricket, give him a big cyber-bear-hug. Thank you Mr. Chambers, we appretiate it. Hope to see Ireland in the top league pretty soon.

Bangladesh Team at Limavady.

Mohammed Rafique receiving the MOM award from Dessie O' Donnell of the Gallery Bar, Match sponsors, and former Irish President Roy Torrens.

By the way I notice the players in sweaters already so I guess autumn is setting in there?

mushfique is in jacket. that means he was probably not wearing uniforms. i'm thinking about his injury. is he so much injured that playing is not an option at all? does anyone have facts about his injury?

the right thing to do for rafique would be to just give that bottle to Dav? btw, the Irish should have checked on protocol before coming up with this award - but the sponsors were a resturant so it makes sense...

Nah, not Dav, but Cordy, this guy would give him an easy go at the fitness

Now Rafique can't say he never touched ...

Rafique will be in trouble because his shirts shows "Grameen phone" where as Standard Chartered is the BD sponsor for this trip. May be Standard Chartered is sponsor for only champions trophy and Grameen phone for Scotland and Ireland games.

Standard Chartered sponsored only for Champ Trophy. Grameen is BCB's permanent sponsor for all tours and serieses. BCB can get seperate sponsor during any Multi-Nation tournament, such as Asia Cup (BCB didn't find anyone else for this years asia cup), Champ Trophy, WC etc. Thats how they made the contract with Grameen. Pretty good for BCB, I would say.

Hi there

glad you liked the pictures. I have sent some more to chinaman, who will hopefully share them with you.

The weather in Ireland was very cold and windy, but got better at Limavady in the afternoon.

It should be okay for the Scottish games.

Irish fans, there's your one reason for losing the first game, that is, if there is any Irish fan remaining out there reading this post as the games are now finished.

About Mushfique's injury - I think he got injured like this before - during 2002, after he was selected to go with the Bangladesh 'A' team to Kenya, but was excluded from the team after having the injury. He had to wait until the Australia tour (may be) next year to get fit properly.

So this is nothing new for Mushfique just like Mashrafee.

BChambers sent 18 more pictures. I added all of them to the "BD in Champion's Trophy" album of our BanglaCricket Photo Gallery >>

Thank you very much, Mr. Barry Chambers.

I presume you are referring to better weather not suiting the Irish. Unfortunately Limavady was the second game.

Newage reported Mushfiq's injury is not serious and will be available for selection of the remaining games of the tour.

Then it was our bowlers (not batsman, as I thought earlier) who got the better of the conditions.
